George is a 2 year old bicolour Ragdoll (colour to be confirmed, when photo arrives). He is neutered, but his vaccinations are not up to date and he is not regularly wormed or health checked. His owner tells us he is generally healthy.
Until recently George was a happy ragdoll, living with, older children, cats and a dog. The dog sadly passed away and the family brought a new dog into the home. The dog chases George constantly and will not leave him alone. George has now started toileting away from the tray, probably due to the stress he feels with the dog in the home. We have advised his owner to have him vet checked to rule out any urinary tract infection and they have agreed to do this. It is very likely that once George is away from the dog and feels secure again, that he will use the tray properly, just as he always had.
George is a loving, affectionate Ragdoll, but he is very unhappy at this time, because he is being ‘tormented’ by the dog.
George needs an indoor home which is dog free, but he should settle with other cats, if introductions are carried out carefully. He would suit a family, with children aged 12 years +. He needs a home where he can feel safe and secure and where he will receive the attention he needs.
The UKRCC will contribute towards the cost of having George re vaccinated..
