Sorry I didn't see this yesterday but glad your dad took you.  I have to take Bonnie to the vet every 4-6 weeks for an injection to stop a rash coming back and it's a 10 - 15 mins drive.  She meows all the way there and part of the way back.  No matter how much I talk to her she still meows. I started her off in the passenger seat but I was always putting my fingers through the slats to stroke her and I thought I'd best put her in the back because I might crash the car cos I was so worried about her.

I now put her on the back seat and face the door towards my seat so she can see me (that way I can't reach her carrier so I know I won't be tempted to lean over and possibly crash. I find classic FM on the radio calms her down a bit too.  I always make sure it's warm enough or cool enough on a hot day.

Good Luck

Mary

I just fit them in anyway I can as I have baby seats in the car lol When I am taking just one cat I usually put it on the passanger side, and my box has holes in so they can see out.
Just because your out of sight, does not mean your out of mind <3

If I'm just taking one cat - then they are on the passenger seat with the seatbelt round them and if its the 2 of them, I have one on the floor and one on the passenger seat.  Both facing me.   I probably shouldn't really have one of the floor but it's normally a really short time in the car.

I always carry them in the back, the middle of the seat facing forward so they can see me and with the middle seatbelt round the carrier.  In my old car there wa no mioddle seat belt so I'd carry them in the front seat facing me so they could see me with the seat belt round the carrier.

When I transported the girls I put them on the back seats and strapped them in, but then theres 2 of them and my front seats are sports seats so the holders wouldn't sit properly in them. Does your cat carrier have a seatbelt bit on it?

we're off out later (vets) and might be on our own - how is the best way to take him in his box?  front or back?  its only a short journey, but have always had someone else driving or holding the box in the back before!

thank you x
