Honeysuckle is known as the new "un-catnip", these are the toys that some cats prefer! If your cat does not respond to catnip, he/she may adore honeysuckle!
WHAT IS HONEYSUCKLE?
Although there are 25 varieties of Honeysuckle - vines, bushy shrubs and rangy trees growing throughout the world, only one seems to attract cats. This particular variety is native to Eurasia and was transplanted to North America in the late 1700's.
WHY HONEYSUCKLE?
Much like Catnip, the scent of honeysuckle wood is mildly intoxicating to Felines. Studies have shown that a catnip reaction is an inherited tendency, with only about two-thirds of cats responding. Although no research has been done on honeysuckle, customer surveys indicate that over 85% of cats like to indulge in honeysuckle. Whether a cat is attracted to catnip or not has no bearing on its attraction to honeysuckle.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT HONEYSUCKLE THAT MAKES CATS REACT?
The reaction will vary from cat to cat depending on its temperament.
Honeysuckle simply affects the cat's sense of smell. It gives them extreme pleasure through their olfactory nerves. The typical responses you can expect from honeysuckle are: rubbing, rolling, drooling, tossing, batting, and overall bliss!
THEY LOVE HONEYSUCKLE!!
IS HONEYSUCKLE SAFE FOR MY CAT?
Our Honeysuckle toys are made from the wood of the plant only and are 100% safe. Our toys come from a respected company who make a quality, and safe (and wildly popular!) line of honeysuckle cat toys.
TIP- Wet Honeysuckle has a stronger aroma and may attract a more finicky feline. For maximum aroma, just moisten the toy before giving to your cat.
