RIP Little Henry, so much fighting spirit. You're free from discomfort now to play at the bridge with your siblings.

Lesley, I'm glad I could be there for you last night, I know what you mean about being a vision of calm, I was the same when I got home, gave my girls a big snuggle and had a little cry. I'm sure its never easy when a little one goes to the bridge but I can't imagine a better way for him to have gone, wrapped up cosy warm in a fleecy blanket on your lap with lots of gentle head strokes.

I was hoping I was through with losing babies this year but, unfortunately after fighting all his little life, little Henry passed to the Bridge last night.  He came from a very sickly litter that I took on when they were a week old and we lost three of them very early on.  Henry and his brother Monty seemed to have pulled through although Henry was always weaker and a sickly kitten.

Last night he took a turn for the worse and I found him collapsed in his pen.  He passed away in my arms about an hour later.

I think he had a congenital condition that he was, realistically, never going to be able to fight despite his valiant struggle, so I must look on it as a release for him but it doesn't make it any easier. :(

RIP my little fighter.

Bryony, thanks for being with me last night otherwise it would have been a much harder evening to cope with. :Luv2:  I may appear to have been calm over his loss but I had a good cry once you had gone.
