My babies are getting the snip tomorrow.. - Izzy can't be done :(

2 of my girls where spayed about 3 months ago, They both came home with collers on and tiggy hated it after 2 nights she pulled the coller of and pulled the stitch out, The vet who done it had done a really small cut and it only had one stitch i popped her back to the vets but it was healed fine, Other than this everything was fine

Awwww shes a good weight then bless her!  Good luck little ones im sure they won't need it though

My girl hated the collar that was put round her to stop her getting at the stitches.  She was very subdued and walked around like she was drunk for the duration that it was on her. Other than that she was fine!

I had to laugh - when i rang up to book them in the nurse said that her notes for Izzy mentioned a heart murmur. She warned that they'd have to make sure Izzy was big enough for the operation at the checkin just in case as cats with heart murmurs tended to be on the small side. I had to laugh Izzy's 5kg!! I'm sure that's big enough dont you?

My 2 were surprisingly good with it, neither of them had to have collars and despite their love of grooming each other, they never touched each others stiches.

Watch that they dont try and take each others stitches out ......  Two of my fosters did that , years back, and I had to do an emergency vetrun  They both ended up with cardboard collars ....

lol a bit more than a snip then!  I've only ever had to deal with spaying once I picked her up in the afternoon and she was bouncing around like normal straight away, she didn't pull at her stitches and so didn't have a collar, I think some vets use glue but I'm sure others will advise

with boys you can't even tell, they might lick themselves a bit but otherwise they should be fine

My babies are getting the snip tomorrow and I'm more terrified than I ever thought I would be about something so routine  What should I expect and is there anything I should be asking the vet beforehand?
