I think it would be good if PDSA used their funds giving proper vet care rather than running polls!!
I think they do a better job than some organisation Gill:
Miracle cat GingerA KITTEN mowed down by a car dragged himself back to his own doorstep despite horrific injuries.
Ginger, a ten-month-old cat, was hit by the car just yards from his home in Woolwich in the early hours of Tuesday, January 30.
The kitten sustained serious injuries to his back legs, but managed to crawl his way back home.
Owner Julie Carr and her children Joe, five, and Sean, 11, found him on their doorstep the next morning.
Mrs Carr said: "I was horrified when I saw Ginger just lying there. We thought we were going to lose him. "
The moggy was rushed to the Blue Cross Hospital in Victoria suffering from shock and fractures to his legs.
Further examination revealed he had a badly ruptured abdominal wall, an injured liver and other minor injuries.
Blue Cross chief veterinary surgeon Jess Gower said: "Ginger has been through a lot but he is a tough cat. His instinct to drag himself home probably saved his life, and the rapid treatment he received means he is likely to make a full recovery."
Mrs Carr added: "The Blue Cross hospital was amazing, and have really looked after him. They've done so much to make him better, and soon I will be able to take him home."
The Blue Cross is Britain's pet charity, providing support, information and advice for pet owners.
Its hospitals provide veterinary care for the pets of people who cannot afford private vets' fees.
