Love the photos and the top one reminds me of one I took of Bonnie a while ago eating grass that I brought in from my garden for her.

It was the boys' first Christmas last year and they had a field day with the tree, it lasted 24 hours as they couldn't resist munching the branches and as it's a fibre optic one I was worried about electrocution

Speaking of decorations, I went to Matalan on the way home from work and as I walked through the door I saw a family of reindeers, I'm not one for Christmasy stuff normally but I couldn't resist him - he looks so cool

His legs go up and down, the smaller he gets the wrinklier his legs get

I've always had a tree - and generally persevered putting any decorations that go walkabout back on the tree over the festive season.

We're thinking it'll be fun with Asteroid though; she's nosey about everything.

Up until a few years ago none of the cats i had would touch the tree.....but the pack of rebels i have now had it down in 30mins !!
I put it back up twice and then gave up

So no tree for the last 3yrs

This will be the first Christmas with the girls for us. Last year we had a huge real tree that reached the ceiling. OH wants the same again, but Amber does seem to like high places even if they are hard to get to, so I'm hoping the base will be strong enough to take a cat shaped decoration if she decided to go for a climb!!!

I think my icon says everything needed about what Casper thought of our Christmas tree the first year he was here. I should probably point out though, that it is on top of a wardrobe in the pic. We put it up there because we thought he'd leave it alone as he'd never been on the wardrobe before. Clearly we were wrong!

I suppose tinsel is a problem if they eat it but I have it probably just the same as if your grandchildren eat it I suppose!

We have got all the family round ver Christmas and feel we must have a tree up for our 2 grandsons. The eldest (6) will be fine but our youngest will be 10 months and he is just starting to try and walk. The thought of him, plus Oscar the Horror and Sophie Bossyboots plus a tree with decorations is filling me with dread!

Also need bit of advice - someone told me that I shouldn't use tinsel with the cats around as it is harmful to them - is this right?

We must be mad but our lot have their very own 6 foot fake tree and all sorts of things to knock off in the family room!

This way they for some reason well probably the exception will be Beijing and Archie but they are babies tended to leave our trees alone 0- We have 3 Fibre Optic ones and apart from rearranging the branches they are pretty much ok and easily popped back in their stands!

We are lucky that we can put up the delicate Glass stuff in our 3 Guest suites and get the benefit of them when we are watching opposing Sky channels!

We start on the 1 December so they have nearly 4 weeks before visitors arrive to trash and for us to rebuild!

Been thinking for the past few years I need to upgrade our christmas tree, husband has had it since his days at Uni. So it's basically the charlie brown tree.

We keep it in the living room though and only certain cats are allowed in that room (TV issues with our Burmese) so everything is safe, at the in laws for Christmas though is always interesting...

So far Lirael has only chewed through a branch or two and we keep the lights unplugged just in case..

This had crossed my mind. We spent a forune on christmas decks 2 years ago for our new house, looks like I might need to get some new ones again as they are all glass, Hubby is going to be amused

the first year we had oscar and algie they climbed the tree! we still have one though and Oscar ignores it now (Algie is no longer with us) and the other three don't pay much attention, the odd bat of a decoration we did have a couple of presents unwrapped last year!

This is what I've been debating. I've not had Christmas decorations for the past 3 years because all the furries were too young and this year I want them. I'm tempted to start off with a small xmas tree this year to see what happens.

I know its early November but we are thinking of this already.

Last year we *think* they stressed Jess out, but possibly because we put them up the day we got back from holiday (we were away 16 nights) so we think all this contributed towards the stress.

Anyway this year we're more worried about Milo, I have a sneeky suspision that he will want to be the fairy on top! Anyway what shall we do, do we risk putting decorations or not??

What do you all do?
