Yes Sam, 2 years already and I've had Alfie for over 2 1/2 years. Frankie should have joined me a fortnight before he did but Alfie had a bout of cold/flu and was on anti-biotics for a fourtnight so I put off getting Frankie until Alfie was over it as I didn't want two FIV cats both with flu at the same time. You might also remember that I was approached to try and find a home for Frankie but got no replys maybe because of his being black and with FIV but that turned out to be very much to my advantage, a godsend, as he settled in so fast with Alfie and is such great company for him and quickly proved to be a super-natured cat, very loving, gentle and laid-back cat and those big soulfull eyes do it for me every time
. I was quite suprised at how quickly it ook him to settle in, only three days and, for an ex-outdoors cat, he just loves the indoor lifestyle.
Always makes me laugh to remember his arrival. When the ladies from CP brought him round I was suprised at what a huge cat he was, simply enormous. Alfie was so curious all he saw of the new big black cat was as Frankie made a dash out of the cat carrier to "safety" behind a shelving unit where he stayed for 3 days only sticking his head out far enough to eat his food but he did lick the bowl clean every time, a sign of things to come. Alfie was driven nuts by knowing the "new" cat was there but not able to get to him until, on the fourth day, Frankie strolled out as bold as brass, they sniffed one another a few times and then Frankie jumped up on my lap for his first stroking session
, since then they are pretty much inseperable
.
Cheers
Leigh
