I understand that. :)  It's still sad, though.

The original owner didn't get them back then? That's sad.

Unfortunately their previous owner is still living with his parents and they would not budge. He had no idea when he will get a place of his own and obviously I cannot keep them until such time as he finds somewhere. I have to make space for more that are desperate to come in.

I have found a new home for my beautiful duo. Although they have reminded my yet again why  don't want kittens they are among the most loving kittens/cats I have taken in in almost 20 years.

Not at all, Lennon has not yet started to spray and does not smell yet. The relationship was a particularly nasty one. the man who adores the cats  (they used to lay on his chest at night) but sadly his mum and dad won't have them in the house, the lady could keep them but does not want them in her house. There is more but I cannot post but it certainly is nothing to do with spraying etc

It's really good of you to "put them on hold" for two weeks, so to speak!

It  also give me the chance to have them neutered/spayed and to start their injections. As we would never home any kitten 6 months old unneutered and no kitten at all uninjected or at least with first injection and an appointment made for the follow up. (which we check is kept)

That poor man - what an awful situation for him to be in. It's really good of you to "put them on hold" for two weeks, so to speak!

. I said I will keep them for two weeks, I don't usually make that offer but could not resist as it is obvious he adores them. I am taking them to be neutered/spayed next Tuesday.

I've said it before and I'll say it again ....you are a star who always takes into consideration what is best for the cats and their owners
I really hope he can sort something out, so heartbreaking when someone has to give up cats that they love (it doesnt happen often enough)

Well they have arrived and are little darlings, I felt terrible as their owner was almost in tears. Apparently he is living with his parents until he can get somewhere to live. I have told him if he wishes to speak to his mum and dad again and ask if he would just keep them in his bedroom for now until he finds somewhere, after all it will be bigger than a cat pen. I said I will keep them for two weeks, I don't usually make that offer but could not resist as it is obvious he adores them. I am taking them to be neutered/spayed next Tuesday.

But say bring them to me. Last week a man phoned to say he and his partner has split and had 2x 6 month old kittens, he was not in a position to keep them and his partner did not want them. I asked if she would be wiling to have them neutered/spayed (at our expense and so  the problem did not grow) and if his partner would keep them until we had room, he rang her and she agreed. This morning he has rung me very upset and said she wants them out today. I just do not understand how when you are in a position to care you don't until at least until   we in a better position anyway. (Having said that that could be 100 years). No as soon as another cat was homed I had the intention to being them in.
