:thanks: Thank you! to those of you who have volunteered your services for this!!
Joanne, our volunteer co-ordinator is sorting out the pages that need looking at, so if she hasn't already done so, she will shortly assign you your page(s) and then will email you the details and instructions.

Is there such a thing as the 'Most Tedious Volunteering Job of the Year' award? It'd be neck-and-neck with cleaning litter trays I reckon...

Still need a couple more people if anyone fancies it..!! Apply to: cotton_cat@catchat.org

Thank you!

Volunteered. Just need to be pointed in the direction of the links. Sent an email. Will go onto CatChat in a mo.
Cats were once gods; they have never forgotten this, nor have the people they own.

Cat Chat Needs extra on-line 'Virtual' Volunteers to help with our Annual Site-Wide Link-Check (Oct - Dec 2008);
Want to help Cat Chat? Volunteering from home on your own computer - at times to suit you - could you help?

Requirements: Methodical, Reliable, Web-wise people with some spare time and a connection to the web.
Time Commitment: As and when it suits you - you can take as much or as little of this job as you wish.

We are now beginning the Annual Cat Chat Site-Wide Link-Check... would YOU like to be part of it? Sounds quite exciting put like that doesn't it? Well, the truth is, as with many of the jobs that make Cat Chat work, it isn't particularly exciting, but it is very necessary, and helps to keep Cat Chat ship-shape. Keeping our links current helps the rescues who rely on us, it helps and the public who visit us, it helps keep us top of the web-searches, and therefore it helps more cats find homes! As the Cat Chat website is so big now, we need a team of willing helpers to go through checking all external links on our pages, and identifying any that have changed or are no longer in existence. Our Volunteer Co-ordinator allocates pages to each of the volunteers - as many or as few as each volunteer chooses to accept. Could you help?
(As this job requires no internal site access or any further responsibility, an application form and references are not required.)
If you would like to volunteer to help with our annual site-wide link check, please email our Volunteer Co-ordinator: cotton_cat@catchat.org

Thank you!
