Yep, been door knocking, this is how I found out about her fan club and her making herself at home in everybody's home. Kept hoping she'd hear me at someone's door and come flying out but no such luck.

No, still not back, not even any response from my flyers or posters or a call from any rescue or vet I've contacted. I don't know where else to turn. I have my suspicions she may have been stolen as she was dreadful for just wandering in open doors and befriending whoever she came across.

I can only hope wherever she is she is warm, well fed and safe.

I hope she comes back soon
1 week is along time to be away so your right to be concerned.

Next time your away i would reccomend a cattery with some house arrest upon return to make sure shes over it.

Check catchats list of rescues in your area, someone may report to them without actually getting the cat scanned www.catchat.org
and its also worth phoning environmental health and finding out their policy, not all of them scan  >:( >:(

They dont tend to go far so saturate the area with leaflets through doors aswell as posters and hopefully you'll get a response. Look yourself up on google earth and see if theres any areas of interest that may not come to mind from a human aspect

This sounds just like Jameson, and I know what you're going through. It's hard not to worry, but at least your neighbours have seen her. Let her come back in her own time - she knows you're back, I'm sure she is sitting somewhere hiding while you're calling her!

Jameson does this, I'll be out calling him in my morning robe, walking around the garden like a droid, with einstein hair, waking the neighbours up - no pud to be seen. When I go indoors and close the door, within seconds there is a kitty at the flap! Little butter.

I hope she comes in soon though - but I wouldn't worry - she is around, and alive!!

Neighbour did see her, that was in the afternoon, then I got back late evening. Next door neighbour also saw her over that weekend but nothing since. She has just disappeared. I'm still shouting for her at regular intervals and of course the flyers. Posters going up on trees today and tomorrow.

Strange thing happened this morning actually. Some of you may remember me mentioning a cat that used to visit in the middle of the night before I got Dave. Well that cat hardly ever shows its face now but this morning I was woken by a horrendous wailing at the door, thinking it was Chilli I leapt out of bed to let her in. It was this other cat, making one hell of a racket. I'd love to know what that was all about!

Well, Chilli is still misisng. No-one round about who she usually visits (as I have discovered this last week, quite the fan club she has), has seen her since the Saturday I got back which is now one week one day. Don some flyering and now have posters which I will put up over the next couple of days.

If this is what happens when I dare go on holiday I'm never going anywhere ever again!

Lots of positive vibes nothing has happened to her please. I'm hoping the silence is good news as she is chipped so if she was hurt I would have been notified.

Have just been chatting to my lovely neighbour who lives downstairs who happened to mention Chilli's new collar. He saw her yesterday in the garden. Yay! She is most definitely just having a strop which is a great relief and once she she thinks I have suffered enough will no doubt show her face to me.

In other news, Dave is having his first day of freedom and is thoroughly enjoying himself, won't come back in the little butter but tinkles his bell when I call for him. He'll sleep well tonight which will make a nice change.

I have literally only been back a matter of hours and don't know any of my neighbours to go knocking relatively late of an evening to check their sheds! As I said, she's a regular disappearer and her behaviour before she decided not to come back was that of one stroppy madam. So I shall see if a shouting walking session looking like a mad fool will bring her out of wherever she's hiding. Her longest stretch for disappearing has been 3 1/2 days so I am doing my best not to stress too much.

Okay, I'm going to try and sleep ready for action on project find the stroppy cat begins with gusto while also trying to make sure I've got something to wear to work on Monday.

Are you saying she has been gone 6 days? Have nearby sheds and garages been checked?

I'm sure she will come back once she's out of her strop and wants to speak to you again.   She'll just be annoyed that you went away and left her.   I would just keep shouting on her every now and then.  Hopefully she'll hear you and know that mum is home.  As you say she's done it before so I'm sure everything will be ok and she'll be home.

I'm feeling like a very very bad meowmy. I went on holiday on Friday evening, handing over the rains to the puds Aunty Kari. We did a swop, Dave spent a couple hours showing off and Chilli sat on her tree accepting lots of smooches from me. Then I left for the airport.

Well, apparently Chilli spent a good amount of time meowing at the door after me when I left and when Kari tried to offer some comfort she just hissed and scratched, not at all like my Chilli. Kari got up on Sunday, fed them both, then let Chilli out before leaving the house. That's the last time she saw her. She has been calling for her and stuff. I've done my best to calm Kari as Chilli has gone off in a strop before for a few days.

I've just got home about an hour ago and did call for her as I walked up the street and again from the balcony when I got in. Not really looking for any advice really, just wanted to sound off and share my worry with someone other than my Mum and Kari. I'm hoping she'll turn up in the next day or so as she sees and hears me round about again.
