Thanks for all the wishes.  :thanks: It has hit me so hard that I now have a relapse of tonsilitis and am written off sick for a couple of days.  I can hardly look at things around the house because tears well up, missing him so much.  I know he has not been himself for a while but I remember him chasing around the house, running up and down the stairs, playing with his sister, introducing young Theo to the house with lots of pacience.  Everyone always said he was a 'dog' cat, in attentive attention all the time, listening, following instructions, sitting when giving treats- so well behaved and relaxed.  Talking a lot too, loving the garden-touring the neighbours for some more attention and always waiting at the door for me to come home. I kow one way to honour him is to help other rescue cats in future and carrying on with the volunteering.  But, as so many others can sympathise with, nothing can ever replace my Lenny boy. :'(

so sorry to hear about lenny, he will always be in your heart though and as hard as it is now, he is at peace and playing with lots of new friends at Rainbow Bridge.

i lost my first cat earlier this year so can relate as we all can on here. it takes time but it does get easier and you remember all the happy times. Hope Martha is ok, it will be hard for her too without her brother but im sure she will love all the extra attention!

My sweet Lennie, faithful companion for almost 7 years, died on Monday the 6th at only 8 years of age.  After our joint battle to try and strengthen his heart, we sadly lost. It has ripped a hole into my heart, even though I know his suffering has now ended.  I am glad that he lived long enough for me to say some quality good bye and that his fur was allowed to grow back after all the investigations.

I miss him terribly as he was my first ever cat and also the first I have lost.

i have even arranged a little funeral at the rscue he came from and where I now volunteer.  They have a memorial garden there and some lovely trees for shelter.  He will love it there and I can always pay a visit.

Every day I miss the greetings at the door and the cuddles 'welcome home'.  Am all tears writing this even.  Good bye my friend and good bye also from your sister Martha who is still with me.  I promise I will look after her for you.  :'(
