Hi Polly,

Thanks for getting back to me. Thats no problem. It does sound like Poppy would be better off with a family that can give her access to a garden (on her own terms). I could certainly take her out on a cat leash, but I would hate to hold her back.

I wish you every luck with finding her a permanent home.... and I shall continue to find me a little treasure :) x

Hi Charlotte,

Thanks for showing an interest in Poppy.

Poppy does like to go out and we would ideally like to give her the choice on going out in her new home via a catflap.  She is taken out at the moment on a cat leash, but she is getting eager to explore (she gets round very well on 3 legs). I would like a home where she can come and go in the day as she only tends to want to go in the garden, but kept in at night

We can discuss this further, but it sounds like you are looking more for a complete in door cat. You sound like you've got lots of love to give to a furry friend too  :Luv2:

kind regards

Polly

Hi there Christine :)

No, not managed to make contact yet.... but then its only been 24hours. Its a shame I don't know if Poppy is in an established foster home or rescue centre...or I could make an appointment....

Patience is a virtue...apparently  :sneaky:

Hi Charlotte,

It might be worth sending Polly a PM as she isn't a regular poster and that was her last post. It would be a shame for her to miss this chance

DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain

Hi Polly,

I have been directed to this thread by another user on the catchat.org forum. I had put out some feelers for a cat perhaps with FIV or older...but primarily a cat that would mostly need to be inside because I am a warden on a university campus (nottingham trent) and would not feel comfortable letting a cat out whilst the students are running around in a drunken stuper. I have a fully self contained flat and I am allowed to have pets.

Is Poppy actually a House cat and/or does she get some time outside supervised?
I would not wish to keep a cat indoors if it should have a better quality of life with full access to the outside world....

Would be happy to talk about this further on the phone, and if suitable meet Poppy, most importantly to check my suitability (if she has not already been snapped up)

cheers,
Charlotte

We are looking for a home for a beautiful 3 legged tabby cat that we've named Poppy.  Poppy turned up in our garden, pregnant (all the kittens have now got fantastic homes), tired and very hungry. We would love to keep her but we are unable too. Poppy is about 2 years old and is really beautiful with a heart shaped face and big round eyes  :Luv:.

Poppy is very friendly and loves playing. We would love Poppy to go to a loving home where she will get all the love she deserves. Could you be the one?

Poppy gets round perfectly well on 3 legs and has recently been spayed.

We are a foster home based in Nottingham.
