Just to clarify  :evillaugh: who is going to Birmingham and are we arranging a little meetup? I think last time people met up at the benches by the domestic section around midday or something. Would this be good for peeps?

Hee hee soooo excited  :)

Yeah, sailing could be interesting  :evillaugh:

Wonder if we can sail to Bracknell, we'd probably get there faster than in my little car

Ah now maps!, I'm good with maps!, once you get them the right way up everything else is plain sailing but then again I can't really say as I've never tried to sail to Birmingham, I shouldn't imagine many people have.  ;D

Cheers

Well, now that I am emigrating and not shipping anything other than the cat it would be wholly unwise to go to the show and buy lots of stuff I most definitely don't need now!

I am not 100%that I will be coming now - won't know till the day and will see how my morning sickness is and tiredness levels.   If I feel as rough as I do now it will be a no no.

It's nearly 9 1/2 hours straight driving so once I build in traffic and lunch/toilet breaks it's a very long way to drive at the best of times never mind when I'm supposed to be resting.

Sorry Lottie  didn't think

I am definitely coming again this year!

God, thinking of the Supreme makes me think of just how many purrs people have met my ugly mug  :evillaugh:

The Supreme is fantastic, we got there for the start last year and still didn't see everything. There are fantastic shops and stalls for cat food, toys etc, and some fantastic Cats Protection stalls for all kinds of cat kitsch stuff (I have a really cheesy but great cat cushion from last years  :evillaugh: ) I got quite a few good freebies last year too, I came home with bags of new food and all the cats (Lucas too last November  :Luv2: ) had a taste test panel, it was great!

It would be fantastic to have ameet up again this year, pink carnations all round I reckon! I have a cheesy homemade badge that says Cheesecat on it so maybe i'll wear that  :sneaky:
Cheese, Gerti, Doc and Kitty Von Bizmark (Wizzles) ^Lucas^(??/97 - 21/11/07)
To think I might not see those eyes, makes it so hard not to cry, and as we say our long goodbyes, I nearly do.

I'm going to make my way to Ely CP's stall where I'm going to be helping in the afternoon (if I EVER get round to replying to Witty's email-sorry) so if anyone fancies meeting there it could be a reasonable place.

I don't know though, this is my first time  :scared:

Ahhhhhhh Amy...  :poke:

The thing is, the Ely CP stand could be anywhere in the hall. The first time I went to the Supreme in '06 it was right by the household pet section, whereas last year it was right at the other end of the hall... :Dont know:

Lurking around in the household pet section seemed to work reasonably well last year although I think I missed a few folks while I was doing a dollop of shopping.

Pre-show nerves are really starting to kick in now...  :waiting: :what: :faint:

Hmm, I'm at MPH 08 in Birmingham the weekend before, don't think I can justify 2 weeks in a row!

Will think about the Bracknell one though as i'm not that far away.

The show is in halls 17-19 btw, which are adjacent to the north car parks.

Is that the same as last year?  I preferred it when they used to be in 18, 19 and 20 (is that what they used to be?) - gave it a bit of an L shape iirc.  Oh well, minor point!

Yes, it's the same as last year. You're probably thinking of halls 3 & 4 where the show was in 2006 and in other years previously.

Quote
Having said that, it used to be the same weekend as the Good Food show (or was it the clothes show?) and that was one of the reasons for congestion around the car parks.  It seems to be earlier again this year (like last year) so I'm assuming it will no longer be the same weekend and will be less busy than it has been in the past.

Yes, it used to be the same weekend as the Good Food Show - in 2006 the queues to get in and out of the venue were pretty bad. Last year the show was brought forward a week to avoid clashing, but this year it has been moved back to the traditional third weekend in November, once again to avoid the clash.

As an exhibitor, I aim to arrive around 8 am (it's hit the road at 5:45 am!) to give me enough time to get myself sorted out; vetting-in, toilet stop, pen dressing etc before judging starts.
