Have been in touch with a friend whose neighbour is interested in Merlin. They've been in touch with Jeannie and all being well are going to collect him on Thursday. Jeanie, sorry if you were going to update - I've not seen you on here for a while and thought people would be interested.

Wow, I can't believe he hasn't found anywhere either. What about the other cats? Have you found homes for them yet?

It must be so stressful and upsetting.

Hi, and I can understand that very much. You can never replace the one youve lost though as each has their own little personality. Thank you though and if you have any questions or would like to meet Merlin, just say. He's a funny little guy, only small and fussy and vocal when he greets you in the morning or comes home. He does like to go out hunting and is often seen in my neighbors small lilac tree after the birds she feeds, but the tree is only small and he falls out clumsily, lol.

Hi Jeanie

I cant believe that no one has snapped this gorgeous boy up - my Mum is hestant because Merlin is almost identical to Marmite who went to the bridge a short time ago. I will speak to her again tonight.

If I had the room I would have him myself.

Take care Hun xxx

I am so sorry Jeannie - it must be so heartbreaking for you.

My Mum is looking for a cat but for some reason she has got her heart set on an Oriental, I will mention Merlin to her.  Who is that sitting behind Merlin? He/she is beautiful too.

Wishing you positve vibes that your situation soon improves xxx

So sorry to hear this sad news.  to you and your fur-family. Merlin is a stunning boy  :Luv2: and if I wasn't at my pet-quota and lived closer would offer him a home in a shot so I am sure someone else will see hm (and the others) and offer them a loving, forever home continuing on from everything you have given them so far.
I wish you all the best.

Welcome to Purrs, Jeanie.

I can only imagine how difficult this situation must be for you. Have the other cats got places to go?

Merlin is lovely, I really hope you find somewhere for him soon.

He is and they all are...nothing lined up for any of them as yet and too ill to list them, can't face it.

I am sorry to welcome you to Purrs is these circumstances, Jeanie.

Whereabouts are you?  Is there no chance that a friend or family member could foster little Merlin while you rebuild things?

Hello, sorry family are useless and im on my own. I have worked in the sheff cat shelter as a volunteer and also liased with cats protection regarding a feral colony in the city years ago, so i know what im up against. Im heartbroken as they my family. I have 5 and a little dacshund. Not sure when the house is to go but i cant maintain situ and im having to act now. I've been trying to sell for a year and im on benefits which have just been reviewed and may drop and then i cant pay for my mortgage you see so im facing the inevitable as my fixed rate goes in november and im struggling now as single person. It been hell and this is a last resort. Im not sure i can do it and reduce as one is approx 20 yrs old! Sorry for gloom here. Jeanie

Merlin is a 4 year old dark red neutered small boy. I'm sadly looking for a forever home which i thought he already had with me due to reposseion.

He is well socialised with other cats and a small dog. He would need green space in which to roam as he loves the outdoors and uses a cat flap. He is very affectionate and quite vocal when announcing his presence when he comes home after a hard days hunting! He is a small cat and also has lovely orange eyes, so he is quite striking looking. I feel he would need green space as he lives in a green but suburban area and is not used to the cities or busy roads. He has never lived with children just other cats and small dog.

Any questions please feel free to get in touch and thank you for looking at my ad.

It has been a tough decison but I have no choice now. We are in the North Sheffield area. Im also new to this web site so please bear with me as sussing out how to use it!
