Hey all,
I was visiting a lovely fosterer for my local CP (and her 10 gorgeous kitties!) and she gave me a leaflet for another charity she does work for called the Twinkle Trust. Basically, they make a trip to fuerteventura a few times a year to capture and spay/neuter/treat ferals over there to help with the massive problem they have (hotels and resorts often 'kill off' feral colonies in horrid ways)
They nick the cats ear to avoid re capturing them another time and in one week managed to spay/neuter over 400 kitties! (aside from the ones they treated for conditions etc) all kitties also get treatment for fleas and worms.
Anyway, the website for more info is
www.twinkletrustanimalaid.org you can make a donation, or give up a week of your time to go and help them (capture, help clean up pens, help with treatment) you only pay for the flight and they house you in a resort.
I thought some of you might be interested in this, as I definitely am, it would be wonderful to help make such a difference and stop so many ill and unwanted kitties.
