biggsd.com is absolutely fantastic and full of lovers of all breeds - BigGSD itself is a German Shepherd Rescue, and there are many other dog rescues on the forum - and many members foster as well, so there are always good places for homeless dogs in need. :)

Pictures are always encouraged and do tend to help find homes faster than dogs without photos in their thread! :)

www.dogpages.org.uk.  Fantastic site used by rescues and dog lovers and has over a 1000 hits per day.  Post under Private Homings.  Best of luck

What about Dogstrust.co.uk
In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

Information I was sent:

16 week old border collie puppy was thrown out in terrible weather. He's tri coloured and needs an experienced collie owner. He's stunning.

9 month old collie X female also needs a home. She's black and white and has lived with children and seems happy to do so. No behaviour problems and is, in short, adorable!

4 - 5 year old medium sized X breed female needs a new home. She was in a rescue that was an hour away from PTS on this girl. She is sweet, housetrained and good with other dogs.

If you can help, witheither sites or a new home please PM me and I'll pass on Nickys contact details!
