I took a few video clips and some photos of my Birthday Boy after he decided he didn't want the bedroom sun but plopped down and yelled to be taken back to 'his' futon. So here he is (assuming they come out):

Swampy's mum is such a mad old sheep these days that she thought tomorrow was the 16th - in fact, TODAY is the Swampcat's 17th birthday!!!! So he's had lots of cuddles and (poor wee lamb) singing on his head. The sun seems to be trying to come out for his day, I hope it does.
Having said that, we've had a bit of a difficult night with him agitated and pacing and unable to find the tray so lots of miaowing from 4am, then eating madly this am - I hope that it's just the cortisone, nothing more sinister than that as his mega-eating has been an indicator of trouble before. Here's hoping we can have a calm peaceful day with quite a bit of resting and that he can find his way about a bit later on.

He doesn't have a favourite food so I think just even more cuddles are in order
