Thanks Mark,

The acid test will be when the jabs totally wear off but it can't be as painful as it was last night.

Cheers

Leigh

The pain is never as bad as abcess pain which is the worst. In fact, I must be a masochist as I quite like the throb of a healing wound  :evillaugh:

It will be interesting to see if Suzie does the face licking again today, as you'll still be in a bit of discomfort I guess when the jabs wear off?

She's a 'lil darling, so pleased she's still eating so well and enjoying life  :Luv:

Thanks hun,

I was so amazed when she started licking my face, she's never licked me before nor my mum when she had her in all these years especially as she had to squeeze behind my head to the other side of me to get to the right side of my face. I'm so relieved and thrilled that she is still eating and enjoying that food and that she hasn't been sick once, I don't know what I'd do without her of a night, she's so sweet.

I'm glad that I finally bit the bullet so as to speak and had that tooth out, it's been giving me serious pain for a long time, might be able to manage some soft food or soup tonight, the jabs still haven't worn off yet and it's been about 4 1/2 hours since he removed the tooth.

Cheers hun, big hugs to Maxy boy

Thanks Dawn,

I'm not a great fan of dentist's  ;D

She was so sweet last night and, good girl, she ate four tins of Hi-Life overnight, I'm so thrilled at the way that she has responded to that steroid injection it really has given her a boost.

Think of me at about 11, white knuckled and very nervous  ;D

Cheers

Suzie soothes my toothache
« Reply #1 on: September 04, 2008, 08:50:38 AM »
Hi folks,

I've been in agony off and on for some while now with toothache and last night something special happened. I went to bed and Suzie always makes a fuss of me with Eskimo nose rubbing sessions and lays across my chest and sits upright on my chest or lays on the pillow next to me etc.,  but last night was different. After she did all that as usual she manouvered behind my head and started very gently rubbing her face against and licking my right side of my face where the painful tooth is!. She's never ever licked me, she's very very affectionate but she's never licked me unlike Alfie who I call my "licky" cat because he loves to lick my arm and occasionally my face.

They know when one is in pain don't they.

I have an emergency dentist appointment at 11 today to have the tooth taken out.

Cheers

Leigh

BTW, She's still thoroughly enjoying her food and is keeping well.
