I explained I had started a thread and said she had lots of "friends" even if she hasn't actually met us all ... yet  ;)

Yes, definitely - she is very highly thought of and her excellent advice has prbably helped hundreds of people on Purrs alone. Sounds like she is going through a difficult time at the moment  :(

Thanks Christine.  I have sent her an email passing on best wishes from everyone on Purrs.  I explained I had started a thread and said she had lots of "friends" even if she hasn't actually met us all ... yet  ;)

Please pass on my hugs if you're speaking to her, Sam.  Whatever is up, I hope she finds her way through it quickly

I've sent you a PM Dawn.  I also said to Wizz if she wanted to chat to like minded folk to come and see us here and we'd cheer her up.

she isn't ill is she?  I really hope not, she was such a great help to me when I got Star and Amber who clearly hated each other, her advice made all the difference to us

The circumstances change was not specifically financial, so I'm not sure if she currently feels able to continue with the rescue work. I really like Wizz and hope she's in a better situation very soon.

Eeep. Amazing site, but how upsetting. Maybe a fundraising thread for Wizz Cats ought to be set up on the fundraising section. Just as uggestion - it might not even be financial but if it is, every bit might lighten the load. :scared:

It sounds very troubling that they are not able to offer behavioural advice  :(  I do hope all is well.

I think the rescue may be experiencing difficulties, I looked the other day when and saw that some of Wizz's own cats are up for rehoming due to a change in personal circumstances and on the 'contact us' page it says 'I am sorry but the rescue is currently closed and we are unable to take in any cats at this moment in time or offer any behavioural advice.'  :(

I noticed that too, Sam!  I was wanting to refer someone to it yesterday.  Perhaps they are worried about legal ramifications?  Its a shame, anyway...

OMG Wizz cats has a new website ... very nice.  Just one major issue ... NO MORE BEHAVIOUR SECTION!!!!! Nightmare ... I always used to refer people to this website.

I have contacted them and asked if they will be putting the behaviour sections back up  :(
