Oh I can't resist the opportunity to show off more pics of Chilli-burger! If anyone wants to do a swop on my camera that announces it's being turned on for one that chilli doesn't know is springing into action that would be fabulous! Might get some eyes open face on shots then!

I've always had a thing for black or black & white cats...they are simply gorgeous.

Can't understand why they often get left behind in animal shelters!

this is jaspers reaction to anyone who dare not like black cats

and i totally agree - jaspers very good at disappearing when he blinks. if hes at a distance or in a shadow the only way to tell which way he's facing is : no holes or 2 holes = face, one hole = .... other end!

It's so nice to see a thread like this! I think black cats are amazing but they are generally very tricky to rehome as black/ black and white cats don't seem to be the 'in thing' at the moment.

I had to transport some kitten my branch of CP took in to the National Cat centre on Sat and of course I had to go and say hello to all the resident kitties and the majority were black/ B&W. The NCC even put lovely poems up on the pens of black cats to try and entice people to give them a look.

I absolutely adore my Oscar (He has got white feet and bib so deviating from black cat slightly!!!) and he is so sleek and handsome because of his shiny dark coat. We also had a family cat called Ozzy who was pure black and just stunning.

i adore pure black cats, I am so glad I have Miss Molly - my next foster is a pure black as well, only 6 months old, bless her. My neighbour has a lovely pure black cat, he likes to come in the house, I did accidentally shut him in earlier, and have absentmindedly given him treats before realising that it was the wrong black cat!!

When I was about eight my friend was given a black cat by her aunt. I fell in love with it immediately but my mam wouldn't let me get one

. Used to spend a lot of time at her house (with the cat not her) so I have a huge soft spot for black cats. But then again, I have a huge soft spot for any cat

Still don't have a black one - may have to put it to my hubby!

Black cats are in my top 5 of favourite coloured cats,I love all cats but me personally I wouldnt go out and choose a white cat but if one came to me I wouldnt say no as I just love them

I just love black cats - Sid, Ollie and Portia were all black. Watching Kylie on Marks film - is it just me but when you watch a back cat with its eyes open, and then they blink, the cat seems to disappear for a sec. OK so it is just me

) when my cat family numbered around six - every one of 'em was black! I used to get people saying, I don't know how you tell them apart - but of course I could (usually)! and my very first cats were three sisters, all black. This is one of them, my lovely Sophie, back in the 1970s.

Always loved black cats - don't have any now though, seem to have gone all pastel LOL!

Totally agree Mark - when my Smudge went missing last September, the amount of black cats I went to look at was unbelievable and people were so amazed at how I could tell with just one quick look that it wasn't him. They all have their own special look in their eyes and I miss my darling so much.
