Hi Sandra,

Very sorry to hear about Snuggs, do you think that liquidising some food might help ? maybe she could lap it up .

good vibes still winging their way to you both

also the steroids might take a while to kick in so don't get too upset

I will PM you my phone no. in a sec. please ring me if you'd like

all the best

Hope everything goes ok, my old cat went mad for sardines in tomato sauce.   I could not get anything down her but she smelt the sardines and away she went.

Hi Sandra,

Finger's crossed, with Suzie's condition the "growth" is partly obstructing the intestine and thus food was building up and coming back up. The pate is very mushy but also smells pretty apertising (I've been around cat food too long) :) , one gets a sense of what smells like it should be appealing but as we all know it doesn't always work that way but strangely it always works that way with my cooking which never smells that appealing to the cats :) I believe that the steroids amongst other things, reduce the inflamation and thus make it easier for food to be swallowed/digested and mushy food slips through easier than the rough stuff, I also recently bought a liquidiser so that I could chop up food for her but so far she's enjoying the hi-life food which doesn't need much, if any, mashing. She is toileting normally and hasn't had the runs or anything so another positive factor.

All the best

Cheers

Leigh

Hi Sandra,

Suzie has responded so well to the steroid injection I so hope that it has such a positive effect on Sbuggs' apertite. The Hi-Life "Petit Pate" is good stuff, Suzie is really enjoying it and it slips down easy. Waitrose and Sainsburys sell it in mixed packs Tuna/Jelly, Tuna/Shrimp, Tuna/Chicken and Tuna Imperial in one and various chicken/turrkey combinations in another assorted pack.

Still sending you and Snuggs the most positive of vibes.

Cheers

back from the vets, Snuggs has more polylips growing, some up her nose ,on her throat and round her back end,(she was bleeding a little bit at the vets ),the vet has put her on steriods and an antibiotic for the weekend to see how she goes and i have to take her back on monday, we will then decide on the next course of action, please keep your fingers crossed i can start her eating again as that will give her the strength to fight the infections caused by these polylips, the vet says she has no swelling anywhere else or on her glands so we will just have to wait and see

please pray for me, i have to take another cat to the vets this morning,Snuggs is mum to my missing Wizzy, she has poylips in her ears and recieves medication every 6/8 weeks but i think something has happened as she has now gone off her food (2 days ) and is very listles, her ear normally weeps but suddenly its stopped which is not a good sign,im absolutely terrified what the vet is going to tell me,i only just lost Ninja last week and Meg 4 weeks before that, plus Wizzy.i really dont think i have the strength to cope with another loss, especially Snuggs as she is my shadow and understands ecerything i tell her, shes been my confidant, comforted me when ive been sad,got into mischief and then made out it wasnt her, shes 9 yr old .
