'cos I'm tired , a copy of the email I've just sent to the neighbour of th farmer.
just got back.
we have brought back 3 kittens about 3-4 months to hopefully home and 3 grown ups which hopefully will get done at the vets tomorrow and I will take back then - was going to be wednesday but I'd have problems housing them that long to be honest.
We have left the trap and a dog cage with the idea being if we can arrange something with thompsons vet in Leek that perhaps margaret can continue to catch and take them there for neutering as its daft to bring them all the way back to coventry to be neutered if we are only going to return them (which to be honest is probably best for them as feral homes are difficult to find and I'm sure after all that space they would hate city life)
I'll contact CP tomorrow and see if they will provide the vouchers.
we have said that if any of the kittens or pregnant queens are caught that we will go and collect them to try and socialise the kittens and return the mums once spayed (unless they calm down enough to be homed). Hopefully, we may get some help with this from other rescues but will do as much as we can. So if you know anyone locally that might help then please shout!
The cats all look very robust and healthy and both margaret and Stan are fantastic people and myself and Jill (especially Jill) are looking forward to going back. Jill was helping feeding the lambs this afternoon and I'm relieved to have got back at all. I have said I will take a sleeping bag with me next time.
Anyway, must go and drink a gallon of water and get some sleep. Neutering, a funeral (one of the cat group ladies died last week) and hopefully a trip back to drop of the cats.
take care,
Angie
BTW, Stan is 86 and has been mowing some of his 156 aces today and margaret is 72 , gets up at 5am has a small holding of her own over the border and is there to try and sort out her flock of sheep and the cats. They both live in caravans on the farm as the farm house burnt down several years ago. They are lovely people and obviously love the cats to bits. so if anyone can stretch to helping please shout!
