OK, for anyone reading who's new.

Frontline spot on should NOT be used on kittens under eight weeks.

Now that's established can we all chill out a bit?

Because its important for guests and those who dont know to find out how important it is to use the right dosage. Its not sad for trying to educate people.

That is what Frontline spray is for CC, that can be used from 2 days to 8 weeks.

It never hurts to ask JS, better to be safe than sorry IMO

Kittens can react to flea and worm treatments, i can remember purrs kittens having trouble so i always double check dosage.

At 12 weeks she should weigh over a kg but kittens do vary due to background and people lie about age to get rid of them. Didnt mean to put the wind up you JS, i was replying to CCs post because at 4 weeks he was overdosed which can cause damage.

Kirst, they can easily write you a prescription and you can buy online, weird they dont stock it

I think she's over a kg now....although it is difficult to check because she's doesn't stay still!

She's well over eight weeks though at three months. That's an extra month so surely it's OK.

Thats a good enough reason NOT to use it. Only frontline spray should be used on kittens under 1kg.

A young whippersnapper called Astryd is currently in residence with us. (Sam kindly brought her from Notts for us.) She WAS supposed to be a foster but my partner has got extremely attached to her and the older cats are getting good at putting her in her place.

Yes, fine after 8 weeks.

When I got Ollie he was infested with fleas, he couldnt even sit still because of them. So I frontlined him at 4 weeks, because of the amount and also the discomfort it was causing him.

It only says not to be given before 8 weeks because it has not been tested on younger.

She's approximately three months old - says over 8 weeks, but I just wanted to double check.
