Tinkle is as bright as the little star she is; she has gained 100grams in weight in less than 48hours and is finding her way to food and litter tray and giving Lou and Lulu a perfect right hook.
There has been bad news today, although the specialist has not seen Tinkle he has had a long discussion with Rebecca. All text books say this is not congenital, the specialist has said it is and starts around 4weeks of age upward,so I have been put on high alert to watch Lou and Lulu also as there is no way of knowing whether this is congenital or down to the dust. The specialist advises that it is usually moggie kittens who get it this young and they are PTS or left to die. Anyway we are hoping that this is a result of the dust.
Tinkle is now on 2 different sets of drops and cream inbetween which basically means she is having something in her eyes every couple of hours, the latest drops are dangerous. Specialist feels we may manage to save one eye but it will always be a problem and she will have frequent attacks, enucliation being the end result.
Tinkle is on vets advise not to be rehomed but we do have some really bright ideas for her future but cant say much at present. So bleak though the news may be Tinkle is happy and oblivious to all the commotion she is causing.
I wish everyone could physically have the joy of giving her a cuddle and feeling the love she has to give, you know you dont even notice she looks a bit different.
