Rebecca still pleased with Tinkles progress, says she can now see a pupil and iris in the good eye, the swelling has reduced  from what it was originally.

Come on Tinkle, keep getting better

Talking of tears in the eyes...

Rebecca still pleased with Tinkles progress, says she can now see a pupil and iris in the good eye, the swelling has reduced  from what it was originally. She now has some artifical tears to put in her eyes as well as the 2 different eye drops and eye cream. Next appointment in a week unless we are worried. Minimopsical had her booster today and quite enjoyed the outing with the kittens who are now in her charge  :)

Kirst, what worming routine do you have them on? They often get roundworm from their mumma

Theyr were wormed by Sharon just before I got them - they have been here just over 4 weeks now and have not yet been outside so they havent been wormed again yet. Can someone clarify - do they need worming again yet as they havent been out? :)

All well and playing this morning, one of Tinkles eyes seems to have a slight line going across so I am watching it like a hawk, despite this I still think there is an improvement.

I think your poo obsession is taking you over, Teresa

On a serious note, it looks from the pictures that the swellings in Tinkles eyes have subsided quite dramatically.  I do hope so

This little trio are having great fun, and I am sure all these different eye drops/cream is having an effect, it may of course be wishful thinking but I think the swelling has gone down quite a bit.
Tinkle like her siblings is eating well and playing, she finds her way around easily and is top cat.
We wanted to take picture of Lou and Lulu but as you can see they were otherwise engaged
Next vet appointment Monday.

Am really pleased to hear that Tinkle has put on much needed weight.

Will be keeping her and Lulu and Lou in my thoughts. I hope that the end prognosis is better than that give to date.

A huge cuddle for all of them and a special snuzzle for Tinkle.

Tinkle is as bright as the little star she is; she has gained 100grams in weight in less than 48hours and is finding her way to food and litter tray and giving Lou and Lulu a perfect right hook.

There has been bad news today, although the specialist has not seen Tinkle he has had a long discussion with Rebecca. All text books say this is not congenital, the specialist has said it is and starts around 4weeks of age upward,so I have been put on high alert to watch Lou and Lulu also as there is no way of knowing whether this is congenital or down to the dust. The specialist advises that it is usually moggie kittens who get it this young and they are PTS or left to die. Anyway we are hoping that this is a result of the dust.
Tinkle is now on 2 different sets of drops and cream inbetween which basically means she is having something in her eyes every couple of hours, the latest drops are dangerous. Specialist feels we may manage to save one eye but it will always be a problem and she will have frequent attacks, enucliation being the end result.
Tinkle is on vets advise not to be rehomed but we do have some really bright ideas for her future but cant say much at present. So bleak though the news may be Tinkle is happy and oblivious to all the commotion she is causing.

I wish everyone could physically have the joy of giving her a cuddle and feeling the love she has to give, you know you dont even notice she looks a bit different.

Sorry to disappoint

Yes, perhaps I would describe myself as disappointed  :(. I have accepted that a highly-experienced rescue member at the point of need is best-placed to make decisions and I can only repeat, I think we need to apply that same rationale here, please.
