Woo Hoo you're back ... so pleased to hear that the boys re doing well and perfecting their hunting skills!

Has it really been a year and month since they arrived??? My it doesn't seem that long.

Looking forward to hearing more of their antics and of course seeing pics of the handsome lads.

HI All

It's been a while but i am back on purrs after a looong absence- had loads going on (good and not so good)

thought i would give an update on the boys...

the boys have been with me for a year and a month now and i couldn't even imagine life without them...they now go outside to play i don't think they go very far because they pop off for an hour then come back then off again and come back etc... they are so cute bless em'

they are so clingy at night now, more than they ever have been before, they sleep right up next tpo me and hardly move til it's time to get up, i love it an wouldn't have it any other way.

they love me leaving the utility room tap dripping in the day, they can play and drink at the same time...hours of fun.

one of the boys decided to bring a present in the house for me, on Thursday i came home to feathers everywhere and a bloody fleshy bit but no bird!!! eek!  i thought i will either find it when it starts to smell (not nice i know but i just couldn't find the bloddy thing anywhere (excuse the pun) or they have taken it back outside.

but yesterday i came home to a room full of flies and i said to OH that this bird is still here somewhere so we picked up the sofa and there the little mite was (not so little though, it was actually quite a size!)

pics to follow!

just an update...

the boys had their little 'op' today and they are just fine, they practically inhaled their dinner so they must be fine! :briggin:

apart from today they have been really healthy for a few weeks, difinately took a few weeks to get that virus out of their system...my poor boys.

the VN's were amking a real fuss over them when i took them in and in true Floss and Tepe fashion they were lapping it up!  :evillaugh:

want to see some recent piccies?

the boys are being chipped and snipped next tuesday!!!!  they have only just started to love me again after abandonong them in the cattery and now they will hate me all over again  :innocent: i did not think this through very well!

i am so proud of my boys, they have been poorly this week but they have bounced back....that's my boys xxx

thought i would update you with some pics....

the last picture is so funny, i put the carry case out hours before we were due to go and the were playing in it and hiding from each other, it was very entertaining and then all goes quiet and i look round and they are both tucked up and ready to go!

:omg: i did not know that!

Many people also think females cant spray, Lola is always squirty squirty round the garden  :evillaugh:

how  :censored:am i?i did not know thst either!

Rufus is 22 weeks and he was neutered very recently. He is absolutely fine and you would never know he'd been through an anaesthetic if you weren't told. It is a really safe procedure that they can cope with from 16 weeks old. (CP recommendations) I have even known a successful castration to be done at 12 weeks with no ill effects. It's no issue as long as the testicles have dropped. The only reason I waited til 22 weeks was because I would not have been able to drop him off and pick him up in the weeks before because of work. Get them in ASAP and they will be happy kitties who will be able to venture into the big wide world without fear of unwanted litters or testosterone-driven fighting or roaming.

the boys are 22 weeks this week (if my maths are correct) and they are being 'done' Tuesday 25th November.

Thanks for info Millys Mum! I think we will do it when he's gonna be 5 month old, but anyway I will make sure my kitten doesn't go outside before he's neutered and microchipped.

6months is the latest it should be done pyschopunk, its not unheard of for 4 month olds to come into heat. Its safe to do surgery on small animals these days and if it could stop alot of these 'accidental litters'  it would make the UK a better place.

TF, neutering doesnt stop cats from being able spray! It means they wont spray to attract a mate but if stressed they can still physically spray urine.

5 months they will be, they definately have 'them' aswell lol  my vet said anything after 5 months as long as they have dropped, which they definately have. also we live in a rented house at the moment and i know we would loose our rather large deposit if any of them sprayed!

I know the feeling.  Being first time cat owner slave  :evillaugh:  makes me a bit overprotective too.

About snipping. Vet told me it's best to do it when they are 3-6 month old. 3 definitely seems too early, I would leave at least until 6. What age are your kittens gonna be?

thank you for all the get well kisses, they are sending kisses back xxxx xxxx
 :Luv: :Luv:

i have decided to put collars on them, we are in the middle of buying a house and if i choose them to go outside or they run off i wouldfeel happier with them having collars because the will look like they belong to someone then.  i would like them to get use to wearing a collar whilst they are still young...also one of patients said not to fuss around with it just put it on and leave them to it, don't put it on for 10 mins a day to break them in gently...which is what i had intended to do!  :-:

well, how  :censored: do i fell now? i put them on the boys and they fiddled with them a little then got really confused but the bell tinkling not realising it was attched to them, it was quite funny actually to watch them looking all confused, bless  :Luv2:
it gets worse.....floss started to make a funny noise and i look over and he ad manaed to get his lower jaw stuck in his collar and couldn't get it out and was totally freaking out and wheezing like he couldn't catch his breath, he was really panicking and i was crying, it was such a horrible sounf and he would nit stay still so i could take it off instead everytime i tried he was wriggling that much i was making it worse so in the end i cut it off,  :censored: knows how i managed not to cut floss open with us both having a panic attack.

he was so traumatised so i took tepe's off aswell (at this point he was starting to get quite wrestless with it on), now all evening floss has sat on his own in the kitchen looking really sorry ofr himself, i feel awful!

how on earth am i going to cope next month when i take them to be snipped and chipped?
TF x

Izzy tooth feel out last week, there has a lot of blood and I panicked, luckily a found the tooth so knew where the blood was from. I've put it in  a tricket box for safe keeping. As your boys were born on the same day as Izzy and Bella I guess their's will be falling out now too!

As for the ping pong in the bath game I'm soooo gonna try that tonight!!

Poor Tepe ... falling in the bath!

I love the pic of one of the boys lounging in the bath ... very cute.  Have you tried the ping pong ball in the empty bath game?  My lot have hours of fun clattering about in the bath.

thats such a lovely thing to say, thank you :Luv2:

Go on you know you want to ... start em young and get them used to it.  :evillaugh:  It's best to do it on a nice warm day so they don't get cold. .... Word of warning though DO NOT laugh at them however much you will be tempted when you see them trotting round flicking their back feet and looking like skinny little rats.  They will never forgive you if you laugh!  :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

you'll never guess what tepe did today...OH had a bath and had gotten out tepe came in and started playing with the dripping tap and ........fell in to the bath FULL of water, he scampered out with the help of OH and hid, i must admit we did laugh (a lot)  but we gave him a rub down with a warm towel and wrapped him up and had cuddles on the sofa.  :Luv:

bless my little tepe
