yes, i collect stamps too to raise money for pawprints animal rescue, thanks for the mention pappion

i collect ink cartridges, mobile phones and jewellery (including costume jewellery, and broken or odd pieces of jewellery, eg just one ear-ring - i can send out envelopes for anyone who has any)

I think it's a case of every little helps. Stamps seem to be rarer and rarer these days as most of the mail we get at work is franked ... however my friend works for a firm of solicitors and they get lots of letters from "the public" so I get about two plastic bags full every month.

She gives them to me as my company allows me to send them from our office and use the franking machine to cover the postage

Thanks. I work at a uni and so we get quite a lot of external post, especially at this time of year when students are posting things back. I'll also sneak it through the work post

I might also put a post in the general section if that's ok, some people may not see this one. I know it's only a small thing in the grand scheme of things, but it's something that we can all do to help the puds

I sent my last lot of stamps to Born Free. But catchat also takes stamps..

Might we something the Purrs can get involved in... Its kind of easy but needs one main person to deal with the stamp people...

Do any of you rescues and / or charities take used stamps? I usually send them to the PDSA (not quite sure how they recycle them and get money for them?)

Let me know. I get quite a few as we save them at work.
