Ok take the bull by the horns and email back again.
Its worth trying to explain why they are too young to leave their mum, sometimes it works so its worth a try !!
I did that, straight after posting. (Not that I'm concerned or anything.)
Here's the my email and the response:
Hi,
"Were these kittens hand reared? Five weeks is really young for a kitten to be separated from its mother. The minimum is eight weeks and the advised age is ten to twelve weeks. It can actually be psychologically and possibly physically damaging in later life for a kitten to be taken from its mum so early.
It can also cause issues for the mother physically if the kittens have been encouraged to stop feeding too early.
