Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.

Cats are like little bundles of razor blades wrapped in soft fur.

So much for realistic toys!  He seems to be over it now but I wish he'd get off my lap cos I've got cramp in my leg  :innocent:

It's funny how they can brave one minute then a total wuss the next!

Poor lad - just noticed he's got a couple of stickers stuck to him saying "red pepper"

Poor Mosi being scared by that nasty bird, no idea why it affected him so much but please give him a gentle head kiss from me and the boys.  Maybe he could have a few drops of rescue remedy

:( Ahhh poor baby.  Rossi sends lots and lots of kitty kisses to her special snuggly wuggly jim jam case and wants him to know he will always be HER big brave sensitive soul.

She is also sending a special withering look your way for scarring her boyfriend with the nasty birdy toy!   :P

In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

Weird reaction from Mosi

I got out a toy earlier that makes a sound like a bird.  It's very realistic (it was a xmas pressie from someone in the US) and Mosi has always been a bit tentative around it when I first get it out, but he is usually ok after a few minutes.  I got it out tonight and shortly after Mosi disappeared and I couldn't find him anywhere.  I was calling him but he didn't come.  Eventually I found him lying under the bed.  He stayed there for almost an hour and wouldn't come out no matter what.  I was gettng worried that he was sick but eventually I waved a piece of twine under the bed and he started swiping at that.  A few minutes later he came out and he's now on my lap.  I can't believe the little lad is so nervous of a bird sound (he can hear the real thing everyday as there are lots of trees outside my flat) as he's usually such a bold lad.  Maybe he thinks it's another cat (although I think it's a very realistic bird chirrup, it does also sound very like Mosi when he chirrups!) or something.  Very odd though.  I'm assuming it was the toy that sent him under the bed as I can't think of anything else.  Not at all like my little Mosi.
