I've just been to pick up the two ferals I had in this morning and I've had a chat to Uncle Sean about Azura

He was not best pleased that I had took on her and Amelia but I've promised him these are the last two now

He's told me to keep them on the antibiotics that the other surgery have put them on, and he wants to see them in a few days to access their situation and treatment, and then we'll take it from there

Hopefully he can sort something out for them and get them to put some weight on

Amelia is fine but still needs some coaxing. I had to take Azura down the vets earlier, her ear looks pretty swollen and feels warm to the touch, maybe Azura has given her a little nip, I don't know

It looks like she may have a Haematoma but no fluid came out when lanced so possibly just swollen. She's had an antibiotic jab and I weighed her as well..........1.9kg

I'm really not sure what her outcome will be but we'll just have to pray that she'll be okay bless her.

Hard to say what ET should be - she's a small persion so maybe about 3.5/4kg?

I've got them on tablets at the moment for their tums, not sure what they are called and I'm also using the Slippery Elm. Had to get them from the other vets as Sean doesn't actually know I've got them yet

I'll have to get them in for him to look at but I know he will go ape at me for getting involved again but that's life

It is frustrating trying to feed up thin cats, ET only put on 60g last week which the vet did not think was enough, you just want to feed them and feed them and feed them!! Wish I could feed ET lumps of lard. These littles ones have a great chance with you Dawn.

don't worry hun, they are in the right place now, it sounds like they are coming on in themselves and not so stressed - with the tummies settled they will be fine, pity they don't put weight on as easily as me!

I think when they were spayed, they were a little heavier. They were indoors for a couple of weeks and gaining weight apparently but were then put back out into a pen, this was when the weight was dropping off again. I only get told half a story but the concern was they would die if left outside but seeing what they are like, I can believe it

I suppose Sean wouldn't have spayed them if he thought they were too weak, lets hope your tlc is all they need, I feel like sending them a joint of beef! unfortunately I know its not that easy

Amelia is skinny but is a lot heavier than Azura, my heart goes out to Azura as I've seen piccies of her when she looked well, it's just so unfair

She is so loving and would spend all day having cuddles if I let her, Amelia is still really frightened but if you manage to get hold of her, she is extremely loving. She doesn't hiss or spit at me now but will run if she sees me, if I approach her slowly, sometimes she will let me give her a love.............so heartbreaking as I know underneath there is a gorgeous loveable girl waiting to come out

OMG Dawn they are in such a state, it is heartbreaking - unfortunately I didn't meet anyone nice or chatty at the oriental show at the weekend to get feeding tips from but seeing orientals in good condition as I did makes it all the more difficult to see these two, thank you so much for saving them

ET sends Azura skinny cat support! (2.36Kg at last wieght in). ET says to Azura that being skinny is brilliant cos you get all the good food, like the gravy chunks...

Here's a couple of piccies of the gorgeous Amelia and Azura

Piccies are pretty rubbish but I will try and get some better one's when they are in a more photogenic mood

You can see how skinny poor Azura is but hopefully she'll fatten up with some tlc
