Well I az finally got on puter,itz MumT`s fault I culdnt stay before she ad got too cooooldddd anz she made erself ill,she az spent most of day heating up a lavendar/wheaty fing in microwaves stuffings it up er jumper and shiverings, the path down to ze catpens woz like ice rink tuday anz she woz gaspin for breath,she is ok now but I az told er to az nuther early night.
I am beingz gud Pedro,no skiddums for days now anz my tummy feels just lovely an comfy,Iz dont mind zee extra medicine pellets in my fud itz extra grub an it tastes ok.

The vet we saw is the owner of the practice who told me his 30 years experience would soon sort out the problem,on reflection I am pleased he didnt offer to operate immediately as I love Pedders too much to trust him with any old vet.

Spent over an hour with the vet going over all Peddys xrays this morning,dont really feel its achieved anything as vet wants me to try and keep him going another 6 months and then we will reconsider an operation; he suggested a diabetic diet which we have had to rule out,then an obesity diet which I told him to keep and finally when I was at point of collapse because I felt so ill and was gasping for breath I put Peddy in his carrier and apologised as best I could before turning to leave,vet then said that he is in perfect condition and a good size for his age so increase the fibre and keep going with the lactulose and hopefully his body will grow quicker than his colon !  I hope he hasnt charged for that consultation because I felt as if I was being tortured by a dimwit.

Well itz a wonder I azn`t got a eadache this moaning wot wiz new boy howling last night and MumT makin a fuss cos her hand got covered in blood cos Robyn decided she didn`t want to go in carrier an zen when she in the carrier she turned into wailing banshee,Christopher woz appy in his carrier just goes to show us boys iz bestest 
I az done big poop in night and only 2 tiny skiddums and I do feels gud, I ate all my brekky even though I ave these pellets on top which looks like my cat litter,but spose they taste gud and its extra rations

Had a chat to vet Dave who owns the practice this am and he is going to see Pedro next week when he can spend plenty of time with us going over all Pedros xrays, we will then make a decision on whether or not we go ahead with the operation.

Ello Pedro ere I ave a few skiddums again this moaning but I iz ok much better than I woz, my ears ave bin burning zis morning while MumT took Pierre for his vaccinations so I guess they woz talkin bout me. Unkle Paddyyyyyyyyyy and all my Aunty`s I ave gud news, this moaning I ave passed the orrible poop lump which was stuck up my botty and no skiddums and I felt the orrid lump cumin out I iz a happy and relieved little Pedders tuday and MumT said she felt like jumpin for joy but she az not got nuff strength after managing to clean 8 of the pens out tuday.
Tuday I iz ready for Auktion fingy I az made speeshul Pooping fingy and MumT took pikture for me all ready to post,just wait till youz see ow pooping clever I iz  :rofl
No skiddums tuday yippee and my botty is brand spanking clean and kissable well purraps we stick to face and tummy kisses.

Seriously Teresa, I can understand how you felt.    To see how he enjoys his life, in spite of his difficulties is an inspiration and a reward in itself.  Your care of him has allowed him to become a beautiful happy cat.

I think in a way it illustrates how vets have to detach themselves from the emotions and attachments we naturally form with our friends, but how that can mean they don't understand how precious each little life is to us.

Pedros litter were nicknamed Busters Babes, the first we rescued after Buster died in May aged 22 and half, now Pedro is 6 and half months old that by my reckoning gives him another 22 years.
