Sounds like she will be OK with your neighbours then .. as long as they can get into the house without risk of her escaping then there should be no problem.

In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

Hi

Thanks, she is very happy at home, I didn't want to take her to the sanctuary and think she was being left again, at least at home she will be in her own home.

J

i agree with Rosella.

As she has only been with you a short time it may be better to have her back at the santuary and feeling a bit sad for a couple of weeks but safe and no risk of escape than to leave her at home and for her to escape and go missing.  But like Rosella says it all depends on how happy she is at home, what the neighbours are like etc etc.

Hello and  :welcome:

As a general rule of thumb I would prefer to leave mine at home as less disturbance for them but I suppose much depends on how settled she is, how long your holiday will last, what the neighbours are like and what the sanctuary is like.

Hello

I need a bit of advice! We rescued our cat about 10 weeks ago from Rhodes Minnis Cat Sanctuary, we are going on holiday next week and can't make up our minds whether to leave her at home with neighbours coming in twice a day to feed her, but not let her out, or to take her to the cat sanctuary where she came from.

If she is left at home will she feel abandoned, but in her own home?

If taken to the cat santuary will she think she is being left there again?
