Thanks for your replies.
We have been told by the cattery they have tried traps which have yielded nothing.
I have been in contact with my solicitor and have been told as long as its fact I am allowed to say what i know.
The Cattery where Harry was boarding and from where we have been told Harry broke free is Greenacres Cattery in Glascoed/Marli
here is their website
www.greenacrescattery.co.ukWe were not made aware for more than 24 hrs after Harry's Great Escape. (escaped early hours of Saturday 10th of may, we had a phone call late morning sunday 12th of may) The cattery were aware that we had arrived home on Saturday 10th but not early enough not to in cure an extra nights boarding, we thought we were leaving Harry for one more nights holiday, little did we know he wasn't there)
We were advised that 'it would not be a good idea' for us to advertise the name of the Cattery Harry went missing from. (interpret that how you will)
We were advised not to offer a reward as this may encourage anyone finding Harry to hold him for the reward (seriously!) the cattery would not put up a reward.
We were told that Harry must have been a very small slim cat to escape the way he did. - interestingly the FAB have said to me - "even a fat cat can get out of a tiny tiny space"
We were told the buildings are refurbished and checked for structural integrity annually, every Autumn.
Harry made his cunning departure by way of pushing through the plastic sheet roofing meeting the gate to his pen, the FAB have said - both runs and safety passages should have wire mesh under the roof in a well managed and maintained cattery.
Anyway enough of that for now
We have now got our own posters with our contact details and will replace all the old ones, the new posters will offer a reward and have been reproduced with great thanks to the national pet register.
We will be visiting the elderly gent with the large feral family at feeding time. I will be offering help to said chap, who has felt an obligation to look after the cats in memory and i suppose final instruction by his now sadly departed wife.
We will contact all vets / sanctuary's / rspca and charities asking for them to deal direct with us.
We continue our patrol of the surrounding area.
And finally I have the go ahead from my solicitor to contact my local paper, both for an advert and to see if they are interested in running a story.
Thank you again for all the support.
Number 1 priority - to find Harry.
Number 2 - to make people aware of our story and to offer advice for choosing your cattery.
