Pearl and I were at the Beds and District show while all you lot were out in the sunshine!
Anyway, I was
cat cuddling stewarding for Anne Gregory today - was great fun and my multidimensional pockets
*should* contain, once I've shaken them out, half a dozen Burmese kittens, a black smoke Devon Rex, a tortie tabby BSH, a Russian Blue, a white Persian kitten and a silver Mau...
I think my two would be horrified...
Actually, it was a brilliant - the cats were superb purrboxes (barring the odd grouchy one) and I wouldn't have liked to have been the person making the decisions.
Anyways, back to Madam Pearl...
The little darling won her open class and then had two second places in her side classes. She was unplaced in one side class - I find it hard to understand why, given that the class was best temperament. It beats me.
The HP section was tough though, so some you win, some you lose.
Best bit of the day was all the people coming to dispense cuddles, including the odd judge, the secretary of the russian blue cat club, various friends from online cat boards and a lady with a disabled boy who was thrilled to be allowed to stroke my special girl. Pearl took it all in her stride and it always makes me proud to see her do her bit for feline PR for household pets at shows - and rescued HP in particular. She's my little star!
Just as an aside, a friend of mine went overall pedigree BIS with her Egyptian Mau, Kneazle.
Have attached a couple of pics of Madam for your enjoyment.
