They look so happy, it's so great. I never let mine into their run at night as was too neurotic to do so. Besides if they get out in the daytime they may sleep better at night :D
War on the Worms has just started......have they seen a real bird up close yet?  :wow:

Well done boys and well done to you Helen - it is certainly a stressful moment and one I put off for ages.    I bet they have slept well and will be asking to go out again - looks like they enjoyed themselves.

    fab pics ... I love the one of Lukey bouncing about like Tigger.

And they have discovered the joys of earth worms ... woo hoo ... I thought it was only Zephyr that caught them.  Mind you Zephyr NEVER eats his   I'm always amazed he manages to catch them without actually hurting them and carried them home for me to 2deal" with.  If you have ever tried pulling an earthworm out of the groud you will understand what an achievement it is as they are really quiet strong and disappear very quickly.

Your boys certainly look like they will have a fab time in the "great out doors".

 Brill Pics The lads look fantastic.  ;D

Lol yes you know that nice cream carpet you have.... well we had one too but it's not really cream anymore  :innocent: We even tried that plastic carpet protector but no didn't work so we have a mat inside the cat flap for wiping paws on. Hmm that doesn't seem to work either. Thank god for carpet cleaners hey!

Quote
After a shaky start Lukey really surprised me and started racing up and down the garden in crazy cat style, darting off at speed and making a funny mewling noise!

Uh oh, thats what Marl and Garf do. You will be soon too   :evillaugh: Nothin like a good ole "Eeeeeeeeeeee" to get the fun going!  :shy:

Lukey & Riley are so like Garf and Marl and we have simular house and garden too  ;D

I's think they will love it out there and it won't be long before you get a flap for 24 access hun, when ya have complete confidence in the cat proofing and all the escape routes are ok.  They will try to test the system for a few days and after won't even try to find way out. Also that it's their only experience of outside.  :)

Both my lads love going out in the night and dusk and in summer all my lads have slept out there in the huts or in the patio area.  Rio used to love a plant pot to sleep in at night rather than a comfty bed.  :-: :innocent:

It will give you a great feeling that they can enjoy the outside as well as being safe.  ;D

Dont they look like they are having a good time!

Luckily Beavis has never worked out that he is water proof and refuses point blank to go out if its wet so my furniture and carpets have stayed clean!

Unfortunately we have nowt but fields behind us , and for the first 5 teasr of his life hw single pawedly tried to sort out the local bunny population!

:thanks: I had a lump in my throat too, was very proud of my little boys  :)

I'm not sure about it all yet Mark, I'm going to see how they go and if they really like it I'll get a cat flap put in.  Even though the garden is catproofed I don't really like the idea of them being out while I'm at work or at night but will consider my options once they're more used to it.  I bought them in after half an hour (or the lure of Whiskas Tempations did it really  :evillaugh:) will wait for a bit and then give them another go.

It's a bit of both in the last pic, his left back foot has merged with his saggy belly to make it look even bigger.  He is definitely not fat but has a very hangy down belly and always has, even as a young kitten.  It doesn't help that the hangy down bit has longer, fluffier fur then the rest of him  :evillaugh:

Great pics Helen  ;D

I bet the boys will be driving you crazy to get out. Are you going to give them free access once they are used to it?
(Watch the cream carpet turn grey  :evillaugh: )

ps - paunch or camera angle in the bottom pic?  :shify:

The time had finally come, I actually felt a bit sick but I knew I couldn't put it off any longer.  I opened the back door and the boys' world expanded.... Lukey took a bit longer to venture outside than Riley but that was the same when they first came home and stepped out of the basket.  Riley was hilarious and was crawling along the ground commando style, almost as though his legs had given way beneath him.  After a shaky start Lukey really surprised me and started racing up and down the garden in crazy cat style, darting off at speed and making a funny mewling noise!

Yikes what's out there?

First footesteps outside the threshold...

Riley walking commando style...

First footsteps on grass (or mud in Lukey's case!)

Crazy Lukey

Lu, did you hear that?

Coming to get you...

Can I have a kiss please Riley  :Luv:

Making their way back in...
