I was passing nearby so went to have a look. They said I had just missed 2 women from the council that had been in the house. They said the cat ran out the flap so they have set the flap on "in only" and set the trap in the kitchen. They found cat food in the cupboard so are using that. The are going by at 5pm to check and again in the morning. That's all we know at the moment.

Your a star Pinkbear! I am on phones tomorrow so will check the phone first thing. Melissa is okay today very frightened but eating abit now... We have decided to give it a few days before we get her to the vets to be checked out as with luck we may of caught the companion puss cat.... I was told that she was the more nervous one, so in time i think the other will take the bait.. Will also check out the vets to see if they have past history now i know the owners name who died..

Just to say we went out tonight and managed to spot this puss. He's unhurt but thin and extremely nervous. Good that he's nervous as no one is going to get close enough to steal him. Unfortunately, I didn't have time for a proper stake out and trapping, but a neighbour is monitoring and one trap has been left set. At least we know he's still there!  :wow:

We're all on stand by here, and going out for a scout round this afternoon if no news.  :sneaky: Another neighbour was talking about getting the  :bum: rescue in, and they haven't got a clue about Siamese and at least our Sharon has owned them for years and understands their ways.  :) We really need to get the other one as Melissa will pine for her pal, and vice versa.  :(

from the photo she appears a bit underweight, but nothing too dreadful. They are a slender breed, although Pavarotti made a brave attempt to take after his namesake ...

Oh my i did get the colouring wrong didnt i? Considering i got through to some Yank in USA to confirm her ID chip number i must of written it down wrong.

Four siamese is alot actually... I do think she is missing her companion as she did seems abit depressed... My feeling is that my own two have to come first.. i have never had four cats, 3 has always been my maximum.. But we are assuming these two are related etc it may be that they hate each other....!!!

The other one is light coloured and i just rang the lady to make sure she is okay as she was quite poorly with the cat hairs today.. Her noisy neighbour wanted to ring the RSPCA!!! when they caught her this morning...Which i would of been very mad about as they were ignoring her last week. But rescueing two siamese is something for the limelight.. I do so hope we find the other one soon though.. Melissa want like being on her own i feel.. she needs companionship...

Was she registered at the old man's address?

They said he was a bit of a recluse and didn't speak to anyone.

Update.. Puss has a chip.... Her name is Melissa and she is 9yr old ...she was born in USA moved and registered in Spain and then onto the UK.. She is a blue point..

Quite thin on her hunches but eyes, mouth and teeth okay, very subdued at the moment, maybe missing her companion...I am already smitten..!!

Gave her a chin rub and a good stroke and no hissing at all. She hasnt eaten anything yet, so we have left her in peace for a day or so.. Get her and hopefully the other tomorrow... Then i am sure they will be happier..

Not yet but I am on call if it gets caught. The poor lady only had the first cat in her house for an hour but she has bad asthma and had to take 3 pills. I know she struggles to breathe as I met her.

The first cat has been ID'd as seal point.

Will phone you Sharon, why didn't you call me?

We are going to Canterbury today. If she can keep the cat today, I can pick it up and drop it off at Gillian's or Caroline's on the way back around 5 or 6pm?

Edit - some other people are doing this  :)

We have caught one!! But i am having major trouble finding someone to pick it up as no one drives.. everyone is out and vets are not too keen having it in their care for a day or so.. due to the weekend.. The other puss is around but in the house... so we need to set the other trap asap...

One down..

Hopefull Gillian picks up her phone messages and knows about a cat coming to her this morning...

Oh my why does this always happen at weekends!!

I have to go to Canterbury Council to get my parking permit on Monday. I can go alone or we can meet there?

If we take step ladder, I could get over the wall but I would want to make sure the women were there in case the police come along  :evillaugh:

All good ponts but the vets i rang have a few people that live local that will keep and eye out.. Also the lady who rang us seems to be very reliable as she keeps in contact with us.. Not sure about the leaflet drop idea as its not a pleasant area of the city.. If no joy by mid week may take some time off and go and do some calling around... but i need some support from some other volunteers.. Just keeping fingers crossed on thse two..

I see your point which is why I thought if you just kept it as a basic "lost" poster in the immediate area at least the neighbours can keep an eye out.

One of the problems is finding time - it's about 8 miles away + we have no pics. I'm not sure if it's a good idea letting people know there are 2 Siamese cats around for the picking  :scared:

Has anyone done a "lost" poster for these two.  I would do a leaflet drop in the cul de sac just in case someone has taken them in already or if they are hiding in a neighbours garden.  If they are normally allowed out the neighbours may not be aware they are now homeless as they will be used to seeing them wandering round.

Just an idea.
