Sorry - not being rude - I have only just seen this!

Garcia hasn't been yet.  My vet has spoken to them for advice and they have recommended some alternative treatments which they suggest we try before they consider surgery.  We are in the process of doing this and waiting to see if things improve.

They have been really helpful so far, but hoping I don't have to visit and we sort things out with my local vet.

Thanks for asking.

How did you get on?

They are very good I have dealings with them though work on the canine side.

I would say they are more expensive but not over the top.  The other good thing is that you don't have to pay up front, they will bill your insurance company direct. ;)

Thanks for the response.  I assumed that they would be good, but thought it was worth asking aswell!  Not sure who I am going to see yet - my vet is having a chat with them today to discuss treatment options and get some advice first, but she did mention that that woman they usually speak to is wonderful and absolutely adores cats...so you never know it may well be Alison!

Just out of interest - do they cost much more than a normal vets?  I am insured and I also would pay myself if I had to, but started to think last night that referal treatment is a lot more expensive and just wondered....

Hi Claire

I have been taking Fabes there for over 12 months now and they are fantastic.

They are specialists in their fields and you can be sure your cat is receiving the very best care and clinical treatment.

Fabes' vet is Allison German who is a feline expert and adores  all of her patients. :)

Uni of Liverpool Small Animal Teaching Hospital - anyone been?

Hi Guys

I think my vet is about to refer one of my boys to the Liverpool Teaching Hospital, and so I wondered if anyone on the forum has had any direct experience of them?

It seems to be a new state of the art facility and  am sure that they are experts (which is why I am going!), but I just wondered if anyone in the North West knew anything more about them or had been?

 :thanks:
