I'm so sorry Gillian   From what you've said, it sounds like you had no choice but to let Gypsy go, and I'm sure she is very grateful to you that you haven't let her suffer.

Jane the vet thinks must have been something else going on in the lungs - tumor maybe, she wanted me to come down asap as she felt she was suffering, but even on the drive there I thought I'm sure she'll pick up, but as soon as I saw her I knew she wasnt going to get better, she had deteriorated so much and was very distressed and crying - I couldnt bear it. My lovely laid back Gypsy, I'm heartbroken.

 :thanks: everyone

She's gonna be staying in overnight at least. I just went in, iin the hope of seeing her, but she was sleeping and better not to disturb as at least she must be feeling a bit more comfortable if she's able to sleep - earlier this morn she kept shifting postiion unable to settle at all. Vet nurse has been monitoring her all afternoon and thinks the breathing's eased a tiny bit, don't know what's gonna happen when nurse goes home, I mean, its good that the vet actually lives in the flat above the surgery, so can look in on her, but what if something happens during the night?

I'm worried about her not eating too, apart from a few mouthfuls of a/d this morning, and yesterday evening plus a little liquivite the day before, she hasnt eaten properly since - well, nearly a week now  :( - vet knows this, but surely she needs force feeding with avengence now?

The oxygen should help her a lot.  Its hard I know after going through all that with fabes last week.  But I just kept telling myself he was in the best place.

Hugs to you and Gypsy
