GOrgeous pic, Ellie, I reckon you have something small and furry or feathery living in your ceiling. While I am convinced that the supernatural exists (how could I not be with my various experiences) I am not totally convinced that animals have a 'sense' about it, as frequently my animals have been completely oblivious to things while they were happening. Similarly, mine all seem to happily sleep through earthquakes. Noises in the celing however, are a different matter, and we have to remember their hearing is far superior to ours ............

Fab pics Ellie. I can never get over how much the three of them look alike. Guinness and Pippa could be mirror images.  And she does the staring into space thing often... no idea why... we just laugh  :evillaugh:

I reckon cats see something that we can't.

Our old persian, Leo, used to suddently jump up and walk in circles, looking up, tail 'shivering'. He only ever used to do this when we were feeding him. Thing is, there is a long held belief that there is a 'presence' in our house ( :-: ) and there have been very odd happenings here over the 13 years we've lived here (lights / appliances turning on and off, my daughter telling us, aged 3, why 'the lady' talks to her and rubs her back in the night,  my dad - usually a very straight, no-fuss chap - deciding that he didn't want to go into one of the upstairs bedrooms as he is *convinced* he saw someone in there . . . .) It's not a BAD thing - we wouldn't have lived here so long if it was! - but just a feeling that there is *something/someone* sharing the space with us. We know that the previous (elderly) owners were incredibly happy here (we bumped into them several years ago and asked them about the 'presence' and they exchanged glances and said that they once thought they saw an old woman sitting on the end of the bed in what is now my daughter's bedroom   ) - we just think it's the left over memories of happiness in our house . . . .

. . . . but on the other hand, your little cats probably just saw a dust mote or a tiny fly or  a light reflection!!!  :innocent:

Guinness and Widget up a ladder

It started quietly, Widget was sound asleep in his zooplus box on the dinning room table, I know I should move it but he's so cute in it  :Luv2: Anyway I took a couple of pics  :Luv2: Guinness was following me into the kitchen when he stopped, looked up at the ceiling and started chittering, I looked but there was nothing there  :scared: This woke Widget up and he looked at the ceiling and started chittering too  :scared: Suddenly Widget jumped out the box, ran up a ladder my hubby was meant to have moved  :tired: closely followed by his brother  Both sat there for ages chittering at something up there  :scared: then both jumped down and looked at me as if to say 'you mean you didn't see it?'  :tired: :evillaugh: I would love to know what they saw but i guess I'll never know  :naughty:  Managed to get these pics  :Luv2:

Widget in his box

Widget sees the ???????

Widget first on the ladder

Both of them following the ???????

Both staring at the ????? They sat like that for a good 10 mins
