That would be great Bryony thanks.  I'm up to my eyes at work and with kitties at the moment so if I could leave it a week or so that would be great.

I picked the cage up today, its a ferplast 60, looks like this:

Measures 23 x 13inches and 11inches high.

If it would be useful to you Lesley, just give me a shout, I also have 2 spare litter trays, just the plan plastic tray kind, which you are welcome to, otherwise I imagine they will be donated to the Ark when I collect the girls.

Lol, I can quite happily cope with any amounts of cats wanting my attention, in fact that sounds great to me!! I would think it would be good for young kittens, when they need to be kept in one place, warm etc. They wouldn't fit through the bars - they are wider than a hamster cage but not wide enough for a kitten to fit through.

My casper who lives with my mum is a big boy so I'm used to having a large lump of cat trying to sit on my lap but ending up with legs  hanging over because there isn't room!

I was thinking of it maybe for some of my little ones when they first start moving around, I have my Angel pen but Tarka spends most of the time in that and the dog crate bars are too far apart and the little ones squeeze through, or get stuck trying to. :Luv2:

I'm sure my furbabes would love a visitor to pander to their every whim for a while - though you will have to put up with giant Felix esconsed on your lap, all 6.5 kilos of him and Forest drooling at your feet. :evillaugh:

Yeh sure, my Dad is cleaning it up ready for me to pick up at the weekend, I'll ask him if he could measure it for me. Off the top of my head, I'd guess about 70cm long, maybe 40 high. It would be pretty good for transporting cats I expect as you can lift the whole cage part off and the hatch in the top would be plenty big enough for kittens/young cats.

If, once I've got the measurements for it, you could find a use for it, I'd be quite happy dropping it round and would want nothing more in exchange that maybe a look at your little ones!  :Luv:

Whilst my parents were clearing out their cellar, they came across a cage that I bought years ago when we had a half house rabbit, she had a hutch but if it was cold, she came inside and slept in the cage. Its a bit like an overlarge hamster cage, plastic base, wire top part which unclips from the base and comes right off, also has a large hatch in the top.

Would this be of any use to anyone in my area, quite happy to drop it off if I know that its going to a useful home!
