Does holding the cat between your legs and giving him the tablet not work?
I do this with Ollie and he takes it quite well but I suppose after 3 years he's "trained" to do it, he even comes to me so I can give him it lol.

Thanks for that Tan, will have a look into those, they look a bit uncomfortable but I don't think Tarka is comfortable with a sore bum at the moment anyway. (I can sympathise at the moment - after falling down the stairs I mean)

I thought it looked a bit "gimmicky".
I think Tarka's food would be working if I could just get him to take his tablet. Suppose the best thing is to post to get everyone's suggestions to taking tablets, though I have already tried loads.

Ours didn't come with instructions so we inflated it first!
I thought it was good idea, but it didn't work for us. We also tried it when Flo had sores on her face due to a food allergy, but she could reach her face as well.

it looks like a good idea, but reading the instructions, I suspect you couldget some nasty injuries installing it
They suggest putting it around the cat's neck then inflating by mouth ... not something I would be happy doing to either a cat or to a potentially agressive dog (which is the other circumstance they recommend for its use ...
)

We tried one of these on Flo after she had abdominal surgery, but she could still reach her abdomen.
No luck with changing Tarka's diet?

Has anyone ever tried a comfy collar or similar thing for their cat. Tarka is very runny again, probably due to the fact that I cannot get him to take his slipper elm tablet at the moment no matter what I put it in.
He constantly cleans his rear end but in doing so makes it red raw and you can even hear him crying when he is doing it. I don't really want to put him in a normal smart collar cos I think this would freak him out and found this on the internet. Looks really cumbersome but just wanted everyone's views or comments.
