What an adorable pic chel,  I wouldn't give up either if I were you.  At very least I do hope and believe that he was found and taken in by a loving family and being taken good care of...   May fate will bring you back together somehow, someday soon

i dont think i'll ever give up hope of my boy jasper returning, he was a great cat, and i'll never forget him, he went out as normal and never came home in december 2004, the worst xmas ive ever had, my son even remembers him he was only 3 at the time!sometimes at bedtime he says night to 'jabba' he chose a toy that looked like him to take to bed
this is one of my fave pics, he and harry were unseperable

yes, a wonder. And a reminder.

We must never give up. They don't.

Having been one who had one go missing and, while I ultimately found the answer, had the answer not be as wonderful, I am especially thankful for this ending.

We all know they are astonishing beings. But some days, even knowing that, we can be (or at least I am) more astonished than ever.

And infinitely thankful for their lives.

What an amazing story!

This I have to share.  My friend just stopped by.  Last October (Oct 16th to be exact) his neighbour's cat went missing. An orange and white tabby. Older fellow. But just gone. They searched and called and put out notices and.... well, nothing. Days passed then weeks and finally months.

We all figured a coyote got him. It happens here. And this winter is a bad one. The rabbit population has crashed and the coyotes are desperate. One was seen chasing a black cat down the main street of our little village last week. Not to worry. They ran until finally they got to "Memorial Park" - really just a tiny yard with our War memorial in it - BUT surrounded by trees (I'm on the Prairies. We don't have much in the way of trees!) whereupon the  cat went up the tree and all was well. For the cat, anyway. So, more so than ever it seemed likely that a coyote got the cat.

But this past Thursday morning she looked out her window and who should be sitting in the middle of her driveway............

He is extremely thin. Paw pads rough and torn. Ears frozen (you cannot believe the weather we have had here. We're used to cold but this has been worse than ever. Today is the first day in weeks it has been above -30, and Saturday was -52!)  But there he sat.

Best she can figure.... on the day he went missing she was having work done on the pipes in her house. By a company based 54 km away. Thinks he may have got into the vehicle and.... I worry about that too as mine (especially Edgar) will hop onto and into any vehicle that comes into the yard....

But how did the find his way back home? And safely, if somewhat the worse for wear. Especially at this time of the year. And isn't it glorious that he did?
