NEWSFLASH . . . .
Please keep your fingers crossed for me, everyone!
I mentioned that I had heard about the RSPCA having a pair of Persians up for adoption in Sussex . . . well, I finally found out some more about them this afternoon and guess what - they are open faced and RED!!!
Well, one is dark red and the other is red and white. Five years old, neutured, to be re-homed due to a change in the owner's circumstances, apparently very affectionate and full of character.
It all sounds a little too good to be true - and it may well be as sadly for me (but good for them) , they already have a provisional reserve on them. However, the other interested party is not sure they want to take on two Persians (they just want one) but the RSPCA are not prepared to split them as they are devoted to one another. . . . . so in many ways, I am keeping my fingers (and everything else) crossed.
I've just spoken to my local RSPCA branch (who know me as 'the Persian lady' - although they might prefix with 'mad' when I am out of earshot
) and they are happy to dig out my home-check records to send over to this other rescue centre so that I can be 'vouched for.'
I was tempted to drive over tomorrow morning to see these little cats but I just know that I will fall in love with them and if they are then homed to the first person, I will be heartbroken! So, the rescue centre is going to call me tomorrow when they have heard from the other people (the reserve ends at 4pm . . .)
Anyway . . . . more later, perhaps!
