It is hard Mark as she's beautiful and spends lots of time on the bed wanting cuddles, hubby is besotted with her but I do want to get my numbers down and I'm sure Daisy will love all the extra attention and it would be nice to have a little more room on the bed at night  :evillaugh:   One I would like to rehome is Ozzy, he weighs getting on 10 kg and he takes up room for 3 cats, when he goes my numbers will feel drastically reduced  :evillaugh:  ;)

Miracles do happen sometimes  :)  After all this time I think I've found a home for the gorgeous Daisy  ;D  She is absolutely gorgeous and I can't understand why she gets overlooked   Anyway, I've had a lady on who has 2 6 year old children and she is extremely interested in her  :wish:  I don't usually rehome now but the lady is off all this week which would be ideal, so she's going to have a chat with hubby tonight and sort something out.  She has wanted a cat for a long time so it's not just a christmas thing, and I'm confidant she will have a fab home.  Keep your fingers crossed and with any luck I'll be doing a homecheck tomorrow and Daisy will have a home for xmas  :briggin:  I will have to take some more piccies of her as she's really changed to her pics from when I first got her in.  She's filled out now and she's sooo stunning  :Luv2:  :Luv2:

Daisy is now at the vets and she'll be spayed in the morning.  I think she is pregnant, her tummy has got slightly rounder but I think it's for the best.  She is a gorgeous, loveable lady and I doubt she'll be waiting long for a new home  :Luv2:  :Luv2:

that would be a helluva lot Dawn... plus with the age of the mums only being 5/6 months they were still babies themselves and personally speaking I think you did the right thing to save them going through the pregnancies which at that age they could have aborted or had complications anyways.

At the end of the day you know if its right or not as you know the circumstances and all the background info.  What may seem odd to the rest of us may well make perfect sense as we cannot see or hear all that goes on. You will always know whats best for the little ones.  ;)

No worries Michelle, I used to think like you, still do but since doing this, I realise you have to concentrate on the ones that are here.  If you saved every single life including the one's not yet born, so many others would have to suffer because you just couldn't take them.  Last year I sorted some cats out for Alex, 3 young tortie girls and a tabby, they were between 5/6 months old and when I had them spayed all were pregnant.  Potentially I could have been looking at 20 kittens to rehome plus all the cats I had in my care at that time.

I would imagine if she has had litters in close succession and isn't well nourished the kittens may not do well  anyway??  Good luck Daisy

The more litters they have, the weaker they become and I'm sure if Daisy had a choice in it, she wouldn't want to be going through it all again.  I hate doing it to them but over the last couple of years I've realised this is for the best, there are far too many homeless cats/kittens, hundreds pts daily because there's nowhere for them to go and if I let her have this litter, I'm basically adding to the problem.  It took me a long time to learn but in these instances, you have to put the cats first and not your own feelings on the matter.  For every kitten born, sadly somewhere, another will die because there just isn't room for them all  :'(  :'(

I think in this case it definately the best option for the poor wee girl.  She's been through enough already.  Be different if it was further along but I'd probably make the same decision were I in your shoes.

sending big  and head butts from all of us here to Daisy.  Keep us posted on her progress... I'm sure she will find a perfect new home some day soon.

Aww, she is lovely, and I agree that doing a spay regardless will be the best thing for her - she doesn't deserve to go through a 4th litter, bless her.
Please spay your cat

Fingers crossed she isnt pregnant, would hate the thought of her babies being killed xxx

Spaying when pregnant isn't something I like doing but she's too young to be going through a fourth litter and there are far too many homeless cats as it is.

Bet she is a right loveable wee character... or at least she looks that way.

Great that you can get her spayed early to save her having to go through yet another pregnancy... do you know how long it was since her last?  she looks a little on the thin side.. so if she is probably just as well you have her and can get her spayed quickly.

She is gorgeous Sarah  :Luv:  Not sure when her last litter was, all I know is she's had 3 and was mating a couple of weeks ago.  She is on the thin side so it's for the best anyway.
