Yep, Shadow is definitely the cat in my household partnership ... ;)
It funny how that works.

Memphis is wishing he could get neutered everyday. He's just had all the prawns from my dinner (5 in total), that made him very happy.

lay me down, let me go, feeling heavy the ground is cold,
lay me down take it slow I'm ready to stumble, sing & then swing low

Sounds like he's milking it for all its worth then, and making you feel very guilty for de-nutting him  :evillaugh:

I'm told they do that veeeeerrrrrry well

I think Memphis is going to milk this one for all it's worth!

You all should see where he is  :scared:

I want to get out of bed, but he's so comfy!! I'm lying in bed with my legs up so the duvet forms a tent (its comfy for me) and he has taken the space on the bed under my legs and is curled up asleep  :innocent: He likes it in the dark.

He's only just woken up  He has basically slept from the time I got him home to now ---- (in fact I think he's fallen asleep under my legs right now ). He's still very quiet. Normally he would be jumping all over me, but nothing so far  :-:

I'm glad he's home and well!  I bet you're so relieved.  I know I always am.  When Mosi was neutered he bounced out of his carrier like he was on speed and acted like nothing had happened.

My VN told me bigger cats take longer to get rid of the effects of a GA or sedation. I didnt ask why as at the time i wanted to get my poor spikey home asap  :evillaugh:

Prob like people....ammount given = size/weight of the patient!  ;)

But they get the same dose per kg as a smaller cat would.... :-:

My first ever cat, a stray I took in called Tooshey, made the most of it when he was done. He jumped straight out of the carrier and on to the sofa, curled up and went to sleep.

I let him lay for hours but eventually, as he hadn't moved, I got worried.  :shify: I tried calling him, stroking him, no response.  :( Then I got out his favourite snack - sliced liver sausage. As soon as the smell hit his nose, he lept up from his coma and nearly ate my fingers off.

He's still asleep!!!!!!!!!!! If he gets up and acts like a loon at 10pm he's normal, if not he's officially still drugged up.

Memphis weigh in was 3.2Kg and he's just turned 6 months!

Aw bless I bet your relieved it's all over now....

Shows how differently the anesthetic affects our babes.....My Baz (biggest cat even massive as a kitten!) was really tired from it....even fell asleep sat up in the litter tray!  :Luv: Just watch him with food as he could be sick if he eats when he is too sleepy....water is fine though as weeing weakens the effect of the anesthetic!  ;)
