And still Caroline took another in today  :Luv2:

I had to collect a cat that a lady has had for 2 months but wanted us to take him back. She claimed he had been peeing in her hallway although I couldn't smell anything. Anyway, I was supposed to take her to one of the fosterers but she wasn't answering her phone - so Caroline to the rescue. She took him in no problem  :Luv2:

So sorry to hear about beautiful little Ticco - as everyone has said, at least she found happiness with Caroline for the last few weeks and was loved and cared for.

I was told by Caroline that she went very peacefully....

At the same time as being in the vets they took in a cat that had been thrown out a car!! Puss is okay but we may take this one on if one one claims ownership!

Sadly i have to report that Ticco went downhill yesterday and Caroline took the decision to take her to the vets today and she was gently PTS...

We are all very sad and she was such a lovely old lady and deserved a few more years, obv had abit of pedigree in her but we kept her going since Feb 13th against all the odds. It may seem we spent money unwisely in keeping a terminally ill cat in our care, but i am sure you would of cal done the same.

RIP TICCO you will be missed by all your animal and human friends.

She looks very peaceful but obviously shutting down. It's reasuring to see her dozing away almost oblivious on Caroline's sofa, compared to what she could have gone through had we not taking her in to our care.

That is such an important part of what you do.

She is still a little purrball but Caroline said the tumour is a lot bigger so it's a matter of time - she is comfortable at the moment but a close eye is being kept on her  :'(

I heard from Caroline tonight that Ticco isnt doing so well lately.. She may of had a little fit today*hyst a few sseconds)  and has lost some weight. She is going to the vets tomorrow but we dont think things are getting any better, she is still on meds.

She still seems happy but obv these are first signs and it may be that we are nearing the end of her hospice care.

Lets hope we can continue for a few more days. Ticco has been with us since 13th Feb...

Its funny how different vets have different views. And although we realise that she isnt ever giong to be rehomed, it would be nice to see she has abit of time to look forward to ..

We are overjoyed at her progress and the vets though it was worth the try.... Its a shame though to realise that she is on borrowed time..

They will need to sedate her to do this so we hope she is going be okay with that...

Apparently she sits on Carolines lap with her head curled up like a little ball.

Caroline took Ticco to the vets again today and they have decided to drain some of the liquid off as she is doing so well.. So Ticco will hopefully be with us a long time yet!

it may be that she is strong enough and that the fluid taken from her tum make takes months to return, so we thought it was worth a try.. She has now very much fitted into Carolines home and is certaintly being given loads of love and TLC... She is a real cutie and we will do what we can for her
