Exactly, I made 2 out of each one  :evillaugh:

I tried those little pocket tab things Mark, but none of mine were that keen either and the whole thing with a tablet in it is quite large.

Have you tried covering the tablet with a little bit of cream cheese or butter?

Mary

You beat me to it - I was just going to suggest the processed cheese triangle things

Its a human food  so you get it in supermarkets in the cooked meats fridges.  I haven't bought it for a while but last time I did I got it from either Tesco or Asda (not Sainsburys).  Not sure about Morrisons.  I'll have a look next time I go shopping.  It comes in little plastic tubs which had cardboard sleeve with a sort of maroon border last time I got it.

Pinkbear have you tried Sutherlands potted beef?  Its sticky enough to take a pill and so far all of my cats have loved it.

Not heard of that before. Where'd you get it?  :-:

Thanks, swampmaxmum  He can still tear around like a maniac when the wind is in the right direction.  :evillaugh: His favourite game is 'fetch'. He will actually chase a bottle top and bring it back and drop it at your feet for you to throw again - that's when he isn't kipping.  :shy:

Mark, one day the big pet food people will realise this is a niche market and come up with something cats find irresistable and you can wrap around a pill.  :sneaky: Sadly, not in time for our cats I fear...  :(

Catnip chews?  :evillaugh:

I had those pill pockets before but only Kylie liked them.

i hope it is just the weather - I have a 15 and 17 yo laid on their backs on my bed trying to encourage either play or fuss (depends which cat you ask!!). Rolo was odd tonight though, didn't come near the door or try and get out for ages.
Please spay your cat

Is Jumpy too ill with heart problems to try a little wave of da Bird at him? You can't get pills down him, so no point in suggesting Vitamin B tabs - er, just did.
I think we all need those S.A.D. bright light lamp things right now.
Hope Jumpy zzzs out the winter blues and when the sun comes out, feels a lot better.

Lets hope Jumpy lives up to his name for a good while yet

Well they do sleep more when the weather is 'changable'.  :evillaugh:

Jumpy, however, refuses to take his meds and I've decided not to force him. I tried forcing my dear old bridge babe, Henry, to have his tablets and all that happened was he died hating me, while his scratches lasted on my arms and face long after he'd gone.  :'( So the Jumpster is happy enough and not suffering. He knows he's loved but obviously the implications of him not taking his meds do have an effect here. And before you ask, yes, I've tried everything. Everything!  :( It's a kind of slow shutting down and he does breathe a little deeper and wheeze at times. :Luv: :'( :'(

But whatever happens, Jumpy is a sun worshipper. If there is just one ray of sunshine anywhere in the house, he will find it. He will hang on til summer before he decides to turn his paws up...  :)

Don't write him off just cos he's 14 (if my maths is right!!) my old ladies have been snoozing between meals for the past 6 or 7 years, and they are still here (touch wood).

Polly had a shock last night. The ferals have started 'popping' out of their room each time I go to see them,  and Polly was shocked by the sheer number of cats   Everyone is okay now.  I think Polly fancies Fred!  :Luv:
Cats were once gods; they have never forgotten this, nor have the people they own.

I think the weather has something to do with it.  We commented only yesterday on just how much Korky is sleeping at the moment.  Its always been what he does best  ;D but right now he could win medals for it.

All mine are pretty much like that at the moment - funnily enough for the last 2 days. Kylie didn'r even show her face for breakfast until gone 11am and Clapton even later  - Lets hope it's just that Jumpy is just in hibernation mode

I have only seen him for a total of 30 minutes in the last 2 days.  :tired:

On Tuesday morning, he went up to the top floor (we have 2 floors of bedrooms) where my youngest, Lucy, has her Penthouse suite.  :evillaugh: He spent all Tuesday kipping on Lucy's bed watching her chat to her pals on Bebo. He came down for supper - some nice fesh prawns that were on special at Tescos - then after licking his plate, he went to the litter tray, stunk the room out  then went straight back upstairs and slept for 12 hours.

Yesterday, he woke me up with a demand for brekkie. Again, after licking his plate clean, he had his morning constitutional just as my toast popped up...  :evillaugh:

We've figured that out of the last 72 hours, he's spent about 60 of them on Lucy's bed, snooring his little paws off.  :innocent: But when I pointed this out to Lucy, she reminded me that when he was a kitten, it was much the same story. She was 4 years old and recovering from chicken pox and he was 14 weeks when he first arrived. We figured he knew she was ill and he stayed with her for days and days until she got much better. But it was always a case of Jumpy feeling a special bond with Lucy...

So he's 14 now and getting worse with his heart murmur. Lucy is 18 this year. I think we know that this will probably be his last Summer and I think he knows it too so he wants to spend as much time as possible with his best pal.  :Luv:
