I have only seen him for a total of 30 minutes in the last 2 days.
On Tuesday morning, he went up to the top floor (we have 2 floors of bedrooms) where my youngest, Lucy, has her Penthouse suite.
He spent all Tuesday kipping on Lucy's bed watching her chat to her pals on Bebo. He came down for supper - some nice fesh prawns that were on special at Tescos - then after licking his plate, he went to the litter tray, stunk the room out
then went straight back upstairs and slept for 12 hours.
Yesterday, he woke me up with a demand for brekkie. Again, after licking his plate clean, he had his morning constitutional just as my toast popped up...
We've figured that out of the last 72 hours, he's spent about 60 of them on Lucy's bed, snooring his little paws off.
But when I pointed this out to Lucy, she reminded me that when he was a kitten, it was much the same story. She was 4 years old and recovering from chicken pox and he was 14 weeks when he first arrived. We figured he knew she was ill and he stayed with her for days and days until she got much better. But it was always a case of Jumpy feeling a special bond with Lucy...
So he's 14 now and getting worse with his heart murmur. Lucy is 18 this year. I think we know that this will probably be his last Summer and I think he knows it too so he wants to spend as much time as possible with his best pal.
