Ah, think I can solve the mystery of Misa sharing Franta's bowl - Aunty Ruth suggested Mr Misaman have a word with the shy Miss Sasa, to see if she'd let up a bit on Franta, so he was obviously discussing it with Franta  before Mr Misaman went off to see what Miss Sasa thought  :shy:

Am so pleased she's been a bit more relaxed last night though.  Hope you had an incident free evening and night-time.

Rosella I would just love to shut them all in and tonight it is raining and Misa has not learnt the lesson of last night, suddenly all fear has gone and he is in and out the flap like a blooming yoyo.

I have just seen a miricle of little and large eating out of the same double feeder and wish I had a camera at the ready.............Misa and Franta that was and I do not think that has ever happened before! Franta was quite confused not to be hissed at. mind you it was his feeder!

Sasa has also been trundling in and out of the flap with Misa, she has eaten quite well and we have also had a play session.  ;D

I am finding this all quite confusing cos its a complete about turn from last night, I am just a silly human and must be missing something I reckon.

I also seen the picture of Freddy on Ellies thread and he is so like Sasa from the back without the ginger splodges  ;D

Gill, can you get them all in and shut cat flap for the night and see how they are? I fully understand any reluctance you might have to doing so but, if Sasa is so scared of the outsider, she may surprise you and not care as much as you might think about being indoors?  It may give everyone a bit of time to sort out a strategy?

Our Gandolf was a terror with neighbours' cats and a real wooz with humans so, just coz this cat is horrid to other cats, really doesn't mean it's a stray.  I remember him coming home once when he was younger having met his match outside and he smelt terrible. I think it was him expelling from his anal glands, the smell of which I'm sorry to say hung around for a few days

We used to call the other cat the Piddler on the Roof, 'cos he used to lie where we had a few tiles missing, and the heat from the central heating boiler was strongest, but he used to spray there, and when the heating came on the smell would percolate through the house!  Phew indeed! )

Thanks all. Spoke to someome in my class today about this and she thinks I need to do a door to door to see if it belongs to anyone...........I feel it doesnt and it appeared from know where.

There are hardly any cats in the area and ginger Jess was attacked and badly hurt, Sasa has been attacked and now Misa.

I couldnt see the cat well last night but when I saw it before Chrismas I think it looked quite slim. If its a stray or a feral  there is nowhere that is likely to take it even if it was trapped. I got my cats from CP Swansea but I am way out of their area and we dont have a cp or anything nearer.

Just caught up with this. It would certainly explain everything that has been going on. It sounds like this cat is terriosing the neighbourhood, even Ginger Jess is quaking. It s very difficult to know what to do. On the face of it the cat sounds very much like a tom perhaps neut. and very territorail. It would be good to know where it lives. Cats seem to live a double life because a lady at the allotments kept telling me about a lovely soft cuddly stray she took in. I asked my friend about the cat as she lives just up the road and she told me this cat is terriosing her two and they are scared to go out. She will not mention it to the owner.
I think the first thing I would dio is try and find out where it belongs.

Oh dear me, a scary stalker cat in the neighbourhood, and Gill you were blaming it on poor Franta!! :tired:  Good news is that a domestic feud is now unlikely, bad news is what to do with this outsider... I would think this alien cat is of the street, not domestic.  Perhaps you could talk to the neighbours who have cats and see if they had encountered similar problems and seek a solution, but I really don't know personally what it could be.
Probably it is a safe thing to keep your babies inside for now or when they are out you should be out there with them, I hope someone will have a good solution to offer.

I hope everyone will find some peace, and Misa, you were a brave boy holding down the fort, even if you had an accident, well done!!

This would explain a lot Gill.

Poor Mr Misaman.  Not to worry.  His "troosers" will be good as new before long.

This can be a serious problem though, and I'm not sure what to suggest.

At our old house, we had a scarred veteran of campaigns, a mean old scratched and patched ginger and white bruiser, with a lip like James Cagney and half an ear missing.  He was hell on earth for other cats, and started terrorising Paddy.  Paddy took to hiding, and looking haunted - peering out of the cat flap first, reluctant to go out, and then he started spraying and weeing everywhere, and Paddy got even worse, and began to do the same.   (We used to call the other cat the Piddler on the Roof, 'cos he used to lie where we had a few tiles missing, and the heat from the central heating boiler was strongest, but he used to spray there, and when the heating came on the smell would percolate through the house!  Phew indeed! )

This Cagney cat was a big softie when we got close enough to check him out, and he loved human contact, but he seriously affected Paddy's whole confidence and demeanour.  Unfortunately, our problem was solved because Cagney cat we believe was hit by a car and died.  Poor old feller.

I wonder if Aunty T would have any ideas?

Just had a major cat fight at the flap involving Misa and the alien cat. I suspect the cat chased Misa back to the house and tried to follow him in and they had a big dust up and Misa had an accident he was so scared.

As far as I can tell Misa is OK and not hurt, just his pride and its taken ages to find him cos he was hiding  and shaking but he is out now and I have tried to clean his trousers and he has been too.

Sasa has fled upstairs to the bathroom and the birman boys were huddled together in the doorway of the study and this cat is smooth looking and dark brown in colour as far as I can tell.

He has been following the scent of my cats cos I saw him looking under the oil tank and he only seems to be around at night. I am pretty ceratin now that this is the cat that duffed up nasty Ginger up the road and possibly how Sasa ended up across the road.

I hadnt seen this cat for weeks but had see two doors up back light come on and she told me she hasnt seen my two for ages in her garden. When I last saw the light come on my two were in my garden and should have guessed who set it off.

I think the problem that Franta is causing is a side issue cos cats dont seem to recognize each other without sniffing and I reckon Sasa is thinking that poor Franta is the alien cat when she sees him from a distance.

So now I need to try and sort this problem out.......phewwwwwww Misa still smells high!

I guess I need to try and find out where this cat comes from and its not from any of the houses near me. I dont think its a Tom cos havent smelt any evidence and as far as I can tell it doesnt come in but just chases mine to the flap and think that he must have caught Sasa in December as she was trying to get back through the flap.

Trouble is the cat cant be seen in the dark and I have only seen it twice in last two months but we have had two injured cats so far and I think Misa has been lucky, I do hope so but will watch him carefully over next few days.

All my cats are scared but especially Sasa, and Misa is watching the study door but is flaked out tired. I think all my cats are watching at night and maybe reason Misa and Sasa are out so long is cos they are hiding because they know the alien is around.

It will aslo explain why Misa didnt come out in the garden in the nicer weather.

The alien is also setting off the dog next door barking cos this dog sleeps outside in a pen.

What do I do start going round houses to see if they have a cat, it could be a stray I suppose but then what?
