This would explain a lot Gill.
Poor Mr Misaman. Not to worry. His "troosers" will be good as new before long.
This can be a serious problem though, and I'm not sure what to suggest.
At our old house, we had a scarred veteran of campaigns, a mean old scratched and patched ginger and white bruiser, with a lip like James Cagney and half an ear missing. He was hell on earth for other cats, and started terrorising Paddy. Paddy took to hiding, and looking haunted - peering out of the cat flap first, reluctant to go out, and then he started spraying and weeing everywhere, and Paddy got even worse, and began to do the same. (We used to call the other cat the Piddler on the Roof, 'cos he used to lie where we had a few tiles missing, and the heat from the central heating boiler was strongest, but he used to spray there, and when the heating came on the smell would percolate through the house! Phew indeed!
)
This Cagney cat was a big softie when we got close enough to check him out, and he loved human contact, but he seriously affected Paddy's whole confidence and demeanour. Unfortunately, our problem was solved because Cagney cat we believe was hit by a car and died. Poor old feller.
I wonder if Aunty T would have any ideas?
